Get It Before Labor Day Weekend—Order With Free 2-Day*by 5pm MT 9/2/15

Time to unlearn everything you thought you knew about this board.

Both lighter and livelier than previous generations, the Burton Vapor snowboard is back and badder than ever. The most significant upgrade is Burton's new flagship Ultrafly wood core that's hyper-engineered to provide an obscene strength-to-weight ratio and super-snappy feel. But don't forget about the gaggle of other technology packed into this thing—like Slimrail sidewalls, Vaporskin construction, Frostbite edges, and a ridiculously fast Sintered WFO base.

  • Traditional camber profile offers the best edge control and pop out of any camber design
  • UltraFly wood core is Burton's lightest, strongest core ever—and gives the 2012 Vapor a more lively, organic feel than previous versions
  • Carbon Vaporskin strategically blends carbon and fiberglass to achieve the ideal flex with the lowest possible weight
  • Stainless-steel Frostbite edges extend out 0.5mm from the binding zones for improved edge control in all snow conditions, and are extremely corrosion-resistant
  • Slimrail sidewalls remove all excess material to reduce weight without compromising durability
  • Wax-infused Sintered WFO base is really, really fast—especially if you tune regularly
  • The Channel mounting system improves board feel and allows infinitely adjustable stance width and angles (compatible with Burton disc or EST bindings)

Excellent feel and wicked lite.

I love this board for two reasons; The feel on it is incredible, I can carve the terrain better than on any other board I own due to how well I can feel the snow beneath me. Secondly the weight is so incredibly lite. I have been snowboarding for close to 13 years now, and over the years I have beat myself up a bit. For this reason over the course of a day on the slopes generally joins and muscles strain a bit more quickly then they used to. When I combine the Vapor with lightweight bindings and boots the sheer lack of weight that I have to carry is incredible.

However I cannot recommend this board for beginner, and some intermediate, riders. The ride can feel a bit rough, and the responsiveness of the board and its edges can be a bit much at times. You need to wield a delicate touch when using this board, however it's well worth every penny.

Can you weigh it? I hear so much about this board's weight, but I never see a published weight.
