  • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought these as a gift for a friend of mine with my fingers crossed they would be compatible with Union bindings.

Turns out they are! He is very pleased and now has a secure toe strap to go with his Contact Pro Bindings.

Great replacement

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I was so mad when the toe strap snapped off my cobrasharks. I was pretty happy to find these, usually replacement parts are cheap and not as good as the original. But these are really good, just as good as the Cobrashark ones. Easy to put on the bindings. At first I thought they didn't come with screws but they were taped on the inside of the box. Sneaky.

Get some.

I bought some of these to replace a broken strap on a pair of Morrow bindings. Then again to replace a strap on a pair of Rossignols. Both times it was a piece of cake to install. Much cheaper than buying a new pair of bindings too! Normally I refuse to buy Burton products, but I've not been able to find an alternative to these. So, lucky for me that they're awesome!

    Great addition

I bought a pair of freestyle bindings because of the super cheap price. and guess what the cap straps were horrible i can see why they are the cheapest so i spend 40 more plus tax instead of buying a new pair of bindings and what a difference they made. if your in doubt dont be buy the cap straps.

      Where are the screws?

These are a great add-on or upgrade to sh-ttier Burton straps like the original Capstraps, Primo Capstraps, or Ultra Capstraps.

Everything about this set is great except for the expensive price, and secondly, the fact that it doesn't even come with the tool-free male nuts that connect the Gettagrip caps to the sliders.

Or did I get ripped off?

        awesome

bought these after one of the toe straps on my drake matrix bindings (which are at least 5 years old-bought them used) broke. i'd been eyeballing the capstrap design on other riders' bindings for a while now and decided to make the move. took a little bit of elbow grease to make them fit but they work fine and ride superbly. highly recommended.

          Not Compatible

If your old Burton Bindings have this kind of adjustment for the toe straps, this kit will not work with them.

          Sorry

          Time to Upgrade

Are you still running a pair of 2003 CFX bindings and refuse to upgrade because you don't think Burton has a highback that even comes close to comparing to the CFX?

Ok, I have some sympathy for you and understand your refusal to upgrade your bindings. But I'm sorry, you're old ass toe straps are obsolete and it's time for an upgrade as Toe Caps > Toe Straps.

This kit will work on Burton Binders from 2003 to present. The key to knowing if they will work on yours is if your bindings have slots for the straps/ladders to slide through (See Picture). If you have Burton Binders that predate this and the toe/ankle strap both screw in from the side, this kit will not work on them (See Picture).

The benefits of Toe Caps are great, they pull you back in your bindings, they hold you down but you don't get those pressure points that old toe straps can cause. It's cool that you want to rock your old B bindings, but do yourself a favor and give them an upgrade and make them feel like a new pair of bindings with a familiar feel.

will these fit Technine Size large binding?

The technines use nuts and bolts to attach the straps to the baseplate. These use sort of a protruded cylinder that fits into a socket when you insert the strap up through the bottom of the binding. However, you could just drill a hole in these straps to use the nut and bolt method of attachment. Hope this helps.

I am looking for a cap strap that is fed through the bottom of the binding instead of being screwed in to place. Will these work?

I have 2012 burton mission est medium bindings. I bought the board and bindings as a demo package so had no choice on a large set of bindings. The toe straps are little short. Is there anywhere to get longer straps for the toe and for that matter the ankle too?

I wear size 10 boots, what size should I order?

Depends on what size binding you have. My normal boots are size 11 Vans and my bindings are L and I have to use the medium capstrap; however I've also ridden in rented size 10.5 Burton boots and those were enormous and I had to readjust the strap and easily could have used the L capstrap with those.

            Hi All,

I have Burton Custom 2010 Large bindings and Burton Moto Size 15 Boots, The toe strap only just clips on to one tooth on the ladder, and the bindings are at max adjustment. Will these Gettagrip Capstraps offer a longer ladder to fit this size boot, or is there any other options out there?? Or do burton make large boots, but no bindings to match??? Thanks for your help!!

Are your boots new? The newer boots are a lot smaller. The straps should fit but if they don't, I would go to your local shop and switch out the ratchets with an ankle ratchet and use an ankle ladder. It sounds like a pain but at least you'll be able to ride. Good luck.
