With the Burton Capstrap, you can turn any Burton binding into a modern, high-performance, high-tech piece of gear. The Capstrap pulls your heel into the binding’s heelcup to give you a tight, solid fit and instant board response. Burton’s new, lightweight design eliminates excess material and fits more snugly over your toe for a more natural fit, quicker power transfer, and greater comfort.

Bottom Line: Upgrade your gear.

Definite Improvement

I purchased these capstraps because the stock ones on my Cartel bindings were always slopping upward over my toes because I insist on riding a narrow board with big feet (Arbor Crossbow 166 with 11.5 K2 Raider Boots and Cartel bindings). These are much more secure. The addition of a heavily padded insole and these capstraps greatly diminished my first day foot pain this season. This feature should be standard, but having the option to upgrade was a definite improvement.

I've just purchased P1.1 sz bindings and the cap strap doesn't centre over the toe of my non Burton boot because the ladder strap isn't long enough. Can you buy longer ladders or is it likely that my boots are too chunky?

You cannot get longer ladders, but you could just size up in the size binding you bought. If you got a medium go for a large and you should be solid!

I use the Ultra Capstrap on Burton Mission bindings and I love the set up. They definitely feel better than traditional capstraps and it seems as though they actually reduce foot cramps and pressure points. I don't know about the "high-performance" label but at worst, they fit over the toe very well. I give them four stars because the price tag seems a little steep.

I was between medium and large when I bought my CO2s last season. I got the large, and everything was great except I couldn't get the toe strap tight. So I bought these in a medium for this season and it's a perfect fit (except for the color). Easy to swap, comes with 2 caps and two male pieces, keeps your feet locked in for quick manuevers!

No, it does not come with the "ladder" part of the strap. It is meant to be a direct replacement on any Burton binding that does not have a cap-strap.

However, most local shops carry the ladder pieces and will sell them to you for around $5.

On a separate note, most other companies toe straps can be adjusted should you want to use this on a Non-Burton binding. All you usually need is a pair of scissors or a knife... if you want it to look like an expert hack-job maybe use a dremel tool.

I have fitted many non-burton bindings with this strap!
