Would this jacket be good for summer...

Would this jacket be good for summer snowbording in Wyoming? Is it breathable or muggy and hot?

Responded on

The breathability rating on this particular jacket is 10,000 g/m². It will feel like you are wearing a plastic garbage bag when you are riding. Look for something that is goretex or has eVent fabric on it. Why not just wear a t-shirt?

Responded on

You may want to look at a light weight shell or even a bonded fleece as a summer ridding option. This jacket was designed to keep you worm and toasty when shredding winter's Gnar. Burton has some great light weight shell that are light and packable. Enjoy the sun

XL Should be a great fit for you. This will give a bit of room for layering and motion when your spinning off those 200 ft cliffs. Enjoy.

I would say a large or XL depending on your waist size.

I'm 5'10' - 195 and the large is just a little loose.

Solid purchase

First things first: I'm 5'11, 200 lbs, 42" chest, 37" waist. I originally ordered the L but stepped it up to the XL.

Fit: it is bigger than i thought it would be, which isnt totally a bad thing. I suited up at the house and noticed that the sleeves covered jsut past my wrist if i bent at the waist to do my bindings (A+). While standing rested with no gloves, the sleeves extended to my finger tips. The jacket length itself is kinda long and theres definately alot of room to move around inside the jacket. Hood is a good size and doesnt stand up on its own like my older 686 jacket.

Features: not a lot of pockets on the inside but the front of the jacket has a lot of good stuff, especially the 2way lower pockets and the hidden pass pocket (top left breast).

Overall: i would recommend this to a friend.
