The Burton Team Skyback is the ultimate after-market feature for the discriminating rider who likes to trick isht out. The Team Skyback stands proud as the tallest hi-back in Burton's line. Fore 2005, they trimmed the fat, eliminating 13% of the weight without altering the performance or durability. The OTT padding equals all day calf comfort and the easy-to-use locking FLAD lets you adjust the hi-back for customized edge-to-edge quickness. –Vendor *Fits C60, C16, C14, Synchro, Mission, Custom, Freestyle. *Available for US Shipment Only.

Bottom Line: A team secret.

i changed the hi-backs on a pair of freestyle bindings with these skybacks and what i got as a result was bindings on par with the more expensive bindings on burton's line up. the response you'll get from these babies is worth ten times the price you'll pay for 'em.

Fifty well spent...

I swapped out my carbon highbacks on my 2005 C60's for the skybacks too. They are still super responsive (especially if you crank up the FLAD), but they aren't painful during hard riding like the carbon highbacks can be. Perfect for charging it in pow, but mellow enough even for rails. The padding towards the heelcup does peel easily, it only took four days for mine to start tearing. A solid product overall, worth the $.

Team Skybacks for resposive freeriding...

By:
December 14, 2006

I already have a pair of Burton C60's and found the composite high backs to be too stiff for riding powder. Instead of buying a new pair of bindings, I just swapped the high backs with a pair of Team Skybacks onto my C60 baseplates. They make freeriding in pow super fun. The tallness of the Skyback makes them super responsive carving in fluff and the medium flex keeps my leg muscles from burning. Pop of the locking flad to make them lighter.

Wait a Year....

The Team Skyback delivers the power that it advertises and provides support to your lower legs(+4...my heel edge dug into that nasty New England halfpipe ice allowing me to throw method airs for the on looking plaid-flannel wearing gapers)

The Skyback was tainted by poor design, the padding they use on the Skyback is already peeling after two afternoon riding sessions(-2...couldn’t believe my eyes)

This is one of those products that will be better to buy after a couple years, allowing Burton to fix the 'minor' flaws in their design(+2 for idea, maybe use the money they made from this round and hire a new innovative design team, provide them with some Starbucks, and research a new foamy material that doesn’t rip or peel so easy. I miss my scruffy CFX backings.)

They should also include the hardware necessary to install them on your bindings (-2 for being cheap but +1 for a helpful spare parts customer service rep.)

Rating: 3, if you have the cash and buy new products each year buy this product now, but please make this worth my money next year (because I do in fact appreciate and enjoy your products), or maybe reconsider the price.

For some reason I prefer these over the carbons as they are just more comfortable for me. Provide the support and control you need without the hassle.
