On frigid winter days you'll be thinking up potentially illegal ways to thank Burton for making the Burton Men's Strapped Down Jacket. With more waterproofing than most down jackets, and the kind of features you wish you had last season, the Burton Strapped Down Jacket treats you even better than mom's chicken soup.

  • DRYRIDE Durashell 2-Layer laminated fabric fends off water to keep you dry all day
  • LINK ZIP pants-to-jacket interfaces with Burton jackets to completely keep snow out
  • Articulated hood offers superb protection and is engineered to move with the direction of your neck and head
  • Burton Sig fit is loose for optimum mobility
  • Articulated sleeves and adjustable cuff closures to improve mobility
  • Engineered goose down and strategically placed Thermacore insulation keep you cozy without weighing you down with bulk
  • Hideaway face gaiter

Bottom Line: When the weather keeps most people indoors, the Burton Strapped Down Jacket rules the whole mountain.

It doesn't way that much, It is not a heavy jacket in weight. The jacket will feel great.

I don't think so. I think it weighs the same as my shell and liner do put together.

Perfect fit

This jacket is amazing! I am 6'1/2" tall and weigh 175lbs and have long arms and the Medium fits perfect. I had a burton down before that was a LRg and to big to wear on the street, this one fits nice in town and amazing on the hill, plus the removable skirt and cuff things are great.
I have owned 7 burton jackets over the last 14 years and still have almost all of them (I have only given some away to buy more) this will be a jacket that I keep for a long time, and by the looks of it, will stand up to anything.

Pleased in Canada...

Pufftastic without the puff

By:

Just got this jacket in and already love it (5'10'', 170..got the medium. this is the 2nd puffy jacket i've owned). Still haven't taken it out in any inclement weather or tested it on the slopes, but just the functionality for street-wear is great. I read some reviews saying that this jacket is too long, but I disagree. It doesn't have a "park-rat" look at all and the bottom sinches up great for an even shorter look.

Pros:
Loose feel, but slim look.
Extremely warm.
The hood is great and even fits over helmet.
Burton's "LINK ZIP" is 100% compatible with volcom's zip technology.
Good, tight fitting powder skirt if you don't have the zip tech.
Great zippers all-around.

Cons:
The "removable" Face-gaiter is a little awkwardly designed, but we'll see how it works on the mountain with mitts on.
The audio pocket is velcro. Would've liked to see a zipper there.

I'll review once more when I have a chance to challenge it on the mountain.
