Forget the season pass this year and earn your turns with the help of the Burton Splitboard 30L Backpack. This backcountry pack is loaded with splitboarding-specific features for exploring new zones and seeking out untouched powder.

Split-specific vertical carry straps hold each half of your board separately so you don't have to put it together when you bootpack a sketchy section of the trail, and it also has a standard vertical board carry as well. A water-resistant front pocket with drainage holds you snow-covered skins and prevents them from getting the rest of your gear wet.

An easy-access shovel and probe pocket lets you get to your avalanche rescue gear as quickly as possible in case of a slide. The padded waist belt keeps the pack from flopping around and throwing you off balance when you're riding. It's also hydration-compatible so you can keep precious fluids handy, and a fleece-lined pocket keeps your goggles from getting scratched when you're hiking up in sunglasses.

Great splitboarding pack for the price

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This pack is a great size for an all day tour. It has a nearly waterproof skins pocket with a drain that is great to keep your wet skins away from the rest of your gear. It has pockets inside for your goggles, water, shovel, and probe. My only complaint is that it doesn't have enough smaller pockets for your snacks, keys, phone, etc. so nearly everything will go in the main compartment.

This is not a great pack for backcountry. It was returned due to it being bulky for it's capacity compared to other models. There was also limited organization with only one large pocket. Nice for travel but not for hiking or touring as they claim.

    Perfect size!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was kind of skeptical on the size as this was my first splitboard pack I've ever purchased and didn't think it would be big enough to carry all my AV gear and munchies and everything else in between. Well I was wrong. This pack is the perfect size and the organizational pockets make it easy to find your gear on a dime. Every key specific pocket you need for split boarding is there from a fleece lined goggle pocket to a water resistant skin pouch. The AV gear for your probe shovel and hydration pocket keeps everything in place. The ergonomic shoulder harness with compression molded back panel keeps your pack from shifting and gives you a nice solid stable feeling when hiking. Overall this pack for the price compared to other split board packs can't be beat material seems super durable
