Perfect for Travelling, Huge!

Love this bag. Inexpensive and holds so much! Heading to Alaska and this 181cm bag has 177 cm skis, 2 pairs of big boots, stove, snow pickets, ice tools, cookset, nalgenes, crampons, and more. From the other reviews, I expect to have to put patch tape on holes from the airline, but thats pretty easy, and worth it to me to not spend a fortune on a bag.

Love it!

I used the bag to take my snowboard on the plane and my 142cm board fit easily in the 146cm bag with room for my boots, helmet, and lots of sweatshirts. It held up well on the flight, too.

Dont waste your money

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this bag at my local shop because it was going out of business and it was super cheap unfortuantly this was a terrible use of money I just returned from riding at winter park in colorado for a week and flew, I had two direct flights, and yes I know and understand very well how rough the airlines are on bags but after getting on two airplanes I have 6 holes in it and I know its not from my edges being sharp bc I ride a park set up and have detuned edges that are very soft. If you need a bag to store your board in this will do fine but if you plan on actually using it and traveling I would suggest buying a good bag such as a high sierra or dakine bag some of my friends have bags by those companies and travel fequently and their bags are in much better shape than mine is after one trip

This bag is great for road trips, but as you said, invest a bit more money in a bag that has padding. I have used my padded bag on several flights without any issues and no damage.

Great Bag

I got this bag for a trip to Whistler that I'm going on soon. My board is a 147 and because the sizes on here said the 146 cm bag is actually 150 in length I decided to try it. It fits in pretty perfectly, with the board (and bindings) stuffed in the bag I have room for my boots to stick in between the bindings and room on the front and back to stuff in extra clothes( Jacket, goggles,etc..) it is a somewhat tight squeeze but you can definitely fit most of your snowboard gear in this bad boy. if you have any doubt you can always get a size bigger to have extra room on the ends to stuff anything else into the bag if you're taking it on a flight.

The only con that I see is that it doesn't give a whole lot of protection to the board as there is no padding. I will be using some bubble wrap to protect my board before taking it on the plane.

Great SB bag!

I like it's quality. And the thing is I can stuck my SB boots there too, besides my snowboard. And I even may tak only one bag containing snowboard, while going into the mountains...

Is this bag durable & protective enough for airline travel? Headed to Vail in early February and need a decent bag to protect my baby from the fine folks at Southwest.

if you are going to fly I would suggest getting a full padded bag with wheels. this will help ensure your board makes it.

This bag is great. Partly because Burton is great, with a lifetime warranty, you can't go wrong.

Great Bag.

I have had this bag for three years. It is still in mint condition. I can fit my board, bindings, boots, helmet, gloves, and goggles in the bag. Makes it super easy to just grab my bag and throw it in my truck, not having to worry about finding everything. Definitely recommended.
