Don't let the understated style of the Burton Women's AK 2L Flare Down Jacket fool you — this jacket is equipped to handle the coldest, wettest conditions you'll face all winter. Gore-Tex fabric ensures you stay dry in the most brutal of storms, and down insulation keeps you cozy when temps hit all-time lows.

Guaranteed waterproof breathable two-layer Gore-Tex fabric blocks the elements from the outside while allowing vapor to escape so you don't get drenched with sweat on the inside, and fully taped seams with Gore-Seam tape prevent moisture from seeping in through the cracks. 650-fill down insulation is lightweight and packable, yet incredibly warm to keep you cozy without weighing you down or limiting mobility.

The AK fit features engineered articulation to allow for total freedom of movement, and it allows room to layer underneath without being baggy or bulky. A removable stretch powder skirt with jacket-to-pant interface keeps the snow out on waist-deep days, and can be taken out for the hike up. Zippered underarm vents let you dump heat when you're huffing it to the peak, and the contoured hood with a micro-adjust cinch shields your head from the storm when the weather suddenly turns on you.

Purple looks nothing like the picture

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it

I was pretty bummed when this jacket arrived... it was not at all as pictured. Instead of a vibrant purple shade, it was more like black with a hint of purple. I am sending this back!

Sorry to hear that! I'm a little confused here because our picture for this item in "Eclipse" is definitely a SUPER dark purple. That image came directly from Burton!
Again, sorry! Let me know if I can help you find something that might be a bit closer to what you are hoping for!
