Description

Opening new doors in both tech and terrain.

Even if you want unlimited flexibility and a close connection to your board doesn't mean you  have to forego cushioning and support; the Burton SLX Snowboard Boot balances these elements on lock. The internal guts of the SLX include the almighty Imprint 5 liner and Burton’s Level 3 EVA footbed (with ESS support shank) all of which encapsulated with a super-durable and lightweight shell that will probably outlast the life of your board.

  • SpeedZone lacing puts true micro-adjustable lacing at your fingertips
  • Rad Pad uses pre-curved panels at the boot’s instep to eliminate pressure and lace bite
  • B3 gel in the midsole absorbs impact from big landings and high-speed chatter without losing integrity over the season or changing density in colder temps
  • Shrinkage footprint reduction technology reduces the sole’s length, height, and weight by one whole size down while still fitting true inside the boot
  • Articulated shell design allows for repeated flexing without bowing or loosening of laces
  • New S4 shell panels contribute to an even flex in all areas of the boot while dispersing ankle-strap pressure and resisting breakdown
  • Seamless asymmetric Power Spine backstay supports flexing and the shifting of weight while resisting breakdown and eliminating pressure points
  • Vibram EcoStep outsole provides a gentle footprint on the earth by using 30% recycled rubber and places a rugged hold on ice with a four-way non-slip rubber compound complete with rubber ice spikes
  • EST optimized midsole increases your connection to the board by cutting down the overall volume and weight drastically while maintaining the cushioning needed for stomping big landings
  • Imprint 5 liner with Rebound Rods and dual-density cushioning throughout provide top-to-bottom support to save your ankles and pamper them with luxurious cushioning and a solid hold on your entire foot
  • Level 3 EVA footbed with ESS support shanks and Aegis antimicrobial coating provides the support and comfort needed for freeriding and park alike
  • 1:1 lasting gives half and full-size shells the same size outsole and liner; so you will never see a half-size liner inside an even-sized shell or vice-versa

This is so far the best pair of boots that I have ever had.

Great stability, great quality, an excellent product.

Get it, you wont get disappointed.

I bought these when my ions broke down. I was very hesitant to spend 550 dollars on a pair of boots. It has been completely worth it.

The flex of these is about the same as the ions. If you like the ions then you'll love these. The detached ankle cuff thing really helps with articulation.

Even when riding my Jones Flagship I find these boots are plenty stiff on steep technical lines. However, this is very subjective.

Basically. These are the Ions brought to the next level.

Ohh another thing.

The Ions in the last couple years had really soft toe boxes that would crumple / pinch when you used non-burton cap straps.

The SLX do not have that problem.

If these hold up as well as my Ions I may end up buying another pair in 100 days or so.
