Crème de la crème performance.

Seeking an aggressive all-terrain boot with a heavy dose of cushioning? How about one that retains its responsive flex, even after multiple seasons of heavy use and abuse? Look no further than the Burton SLX Men's Snowboard Boot for an insanely comfortable fit and next-level performance on everything from Alaskan steeps to pro-sized kickers. This all-terrain boot is ready to shred anything you can throw its way, thanks to its highly responsive feel, falling somewhere just below the Ion in terms of stiffness. However, what sets the SLX apart is its ability to retain its flex over time, thanks to its next-level Ceraspace shell and Firm Flex PowerUp Tongue.

Featuring Burton's Speed Zone Lacing, the SLX allows you to independently dial-in your ideal tightness in the upper and lower regions of the boot for maximum comfort and response. The Easy Slide Articulating Cuff keeps the boot's upper and lower zones flexing independently without shell distortion, also locking in heel hold and responsiveness. Additionally, the boot's Firm Flex PowerUp Tongue uses a Thin Profile 3D Molded material that's designed for greater durability and rebound while you're riding.

Inside the boot, you'll find Burton's top-dog Infinite Ride 5 Liner with Tuff Cuff for extra ankle support and stability. There are removable J-Bars that lock-in heel hold, preventing dreaded heel lift when you're charging at high speeds. New for this year, the SLX's liner has DryRide Heat Cycle lining that consists of thermally activated carbon threads. These carbon threads capture heat, radiating warmth back into the boot during sub-zero conditions. Plus, the Infinite Ride 5 Liner is treated with an Aegis antimicrobial coating to resist funky smelling microbes, and it's lined with DryRide Hyperwick mesh in the toe box for enhanced breathability.

Gripping tenaciously over the iciest parking lots and sidewalks, the boot's Vibram EcoStep Plus sole has an aggressive tread for sure-footed grip. There's Dual-Zone B3 Gel in the toe and heel zones, alongside Rebounce and dual-density EVA cushioning for extra impact protection. Add in an ESS Support Shank and Level 3 Molded EVA footbed for added support from the burliest drops and freestyle features you can step to.

Didn't even last a full season

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love the fit, feel, and flex of these boots. I went balls out on these boots and not even a full season, they are ripping at the seams, literally. Both toes are falling off and no I don't ride with my board on my toes.
Can't believe for the price these went to fast. Both heels are worn through to the inner linner. Yes I ride and skin mountains but c'mon. Talked to them, no help. I'm done. I've had 3 products fall on me and they all start wit a B.
This is the 2014 model I'm upset about.

Good looking out. I have burton boots now and they kill my feet. I had a pair of Vans boots back in the day and they were unreal. not sure where to go from here.
