You’re planning to rock the park comp, or at least rock the amateur snowboard videos this season. If the Burton Women’s Sapphire Snowboard Boots cover the feet of Pro riders Natasza Zurek and Molly Aguirre, we’re betting it’s alright for yours too.

  • Flex liner uses strategically placed TaiPanels for support without all-over stiffening
  • Park 2 footbed mixes dual-density cushioning and arch, heel, and toe support for all-day hucking
  • Therm-ic Heat Pre-Wired Flex 2 liner uses wiring and a slim battery pack (battery pack sold separately) to boost warmth
  • Flex-cuff heel-hold wraps around ankle to reduce slop without limiting mobility for park and street rides
  • 270-Degree airbag cushioning uses a 50% larger (than ’09 models) airbag that covers 75% of the midsole for sweet shock absorption
  • Aegis antimicrobial coating for odor control

Bottom Line: Wear your park jewels.

Ultra comfy!

I've worn these for one 3 day Mammoth trip so far (after they just got 18 feet of snow - so powder conditions). I loooove these boots. They are really comfy (think feet and lower legs engulfed by velour padding!) and I find that I don't even have to tighten them up very much and they still work great (my previous boots - Burton Freestyle), I had to tighten them up so that I lost circulation in my toes! The velcro in the liner holding the tongue to the sides keeps the boots together even when the laces aren't tied that tightly.

The lace cincher is a lot easier to use them my previous ones (great evolution in the Burton line). And did I mention the awesome pre-wired Therm-ic boot warmer?!? I'm not going lie, the therm-ic battery pack (sold separately) is big & bulky. But still I don't think you can see them with my pants over them and I don't feel them in the way or anything. I think having my boots warm up makes the boots feel even more comfy (like heat customized molding to my feet!), but it could just be my imagination.

Be careful, because the red flowers do bleed a little. But I read somewhere that you should just waterproof them and it should be fine. I did waterproof them before I wore them, and it's mostly fine except for some small red marks on the white of the tongue.

Not a flex 4! Flex is TWO.

Everything about these boots should be great. Great quality, great look, everything. But I have never had a WORSE riding experience in my life. This boots are insanely stiff. Everything about them hurts. The product description says Flex 4, but on the boot itself it says Flex 2, on the Burton scale, which means not flexible at all. The biggest offender is the tongue piece, which presses down on the top of the foot in an incredibly painful way. Within minutes my feet were numb. After every run I had to walk around a bit and take the boots off and rub feeling back into my feet. The only way I could wear these was by lacing them very very lose, which kind of defeats the purpose because you lose a lot of power transfer to your board. The boots are gorgeous, but now I am out over a hundred dollars because these are not what they seem or are described as. Beautiful boots, but EPIC FAIL in design construction and product description. I will go back to using my boots from 10 years ago that are a mens size 6.

Sapphire Boot

My first day out in these was a little rough. I had to find the sweet spot of how tight i could tie them without causing my feet to fall asleep. 3 days in and i think i've broken them in almost perfectly. I rode the Burton Lodi's last year which is a pretty soft boot. I wanted something a little stiffer and these are exactly what i was looking for. Not too stiff, not too soft.
