Forget about lift lines, ticket prices, and fighting the weekend warrior. Get to where the goods are with the Burton S-Series Split Snowboard. Developed with Dave Downing, Burton touts the S-Series as the best split board in the world. For 07 the S-Series has a slightly tapered shape and 10:45 sidewalls. The new Powder Fly II core provides exceptional responsiveness and stability, while the durable sintered Vision base lets you point chutes like it's nobody's business. However, the S-Series board is just the first piece of the puzzle. To get to the remote pow you'll need the Voile Universal Binding Interface and Tractor Skins (sold separately) to get up, and avalanche safety gear and awareness to stay alive.

Bottom Line: Get into the backcountry, be safe, and ride untouched pow all day on the Burton S-Series Snowboard.

I love this board and the new voile system cuts way down on time but is still very solid and responsive. The board itself is also very nice in the BC and I took it inbounds one day for a test. It was ok on groomers but I wouldn’t recommend moguls runs for the afternoon. Overall defiantly worth the money if it’s a second board for BC

Any bindings you usually ride with work well with this board. A lot of guys ride with plate bindings and hard boots, but if you're used to soft boots and higbacks, ride those.

Burton S-Series Splitboard

I received a 162 on Jan. 2nd from the very punctual people at this store. This split snowboard is exceptional! In tour mode, the edges are solid and they are very maneuverable. In ride mode, it is buttery smooth in the powder, and it carves down tracked gully exists as good as my lift board. I have been out about 15 times on the board in the last 20 days, and it is Life Changing.
