Layer the Burton Men's Powerstretch Liner Glove under your shell for uncompromising dexterity and warmth. The lightweight Malden Mills Powerstretch fabric stretches in four directions, which allows you to complete dexterous tasks like dialing your cell or fixing your bindings with your gloves on. The material also wicks sweat, preventing the cold, clammy feeling. Burton gave the Powerstretch glove a Sticky Icky Grip palm so your iPod doesn't accidentally slip through your fingers, fall 40 feet, and disappear into the powder. **DISCONTINUED**
Bottom Line: The Burton Powerstretch gloves let your fingers move while keeping them toasty warm.
I lived in Vermont for ten years. In that time, I went through soo many gloves that I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur.
There are a lot of 4-way stretch models out there. They're all pretty much good at being a city glove, a driving glove and a liner glove (what it was designed for).
The biggest difference you'll find is the amount of grip each company has put on the palm. This year, DaKine took it a little too far. Pretty much anything you put your hand on will stick to it. (Great for grabs, not so all-purpose, though.)
Black Diamond has one that's a little under-grippy'd. Backcountry.com has one that has no gripy stuff.
Burton's design changes every season, but I haven't seen a year that's designed with poor taste. The pair I bought in 2004 lasted me until 2008 with heavy use, and that's only because I lost one... which made me really sad, because the grip from 2005 looked BIONIC and AWESOME (but not in an over-the-top way).
I'm on backcountry.com so I can buy the pair that'll last me another three or four years (until I loose another one).
I love these gloves! Theyre sexy and they're warm! I could use them for anything! The palm grip is awesome! i got the red ones and i almost feel like spiderman! and i'm able to do things i wouldn't be able to with bigger gloves! TIGHT BUY FOR THE PRICE!

The gloves got the job done, but I received them with a small hole above the thumb on the right glove. Luckily my woman took care of that and stitched them up but it was an inconvenience. Gloves are great for most day to day tasks but the sticky stuff is a little too sticky sometimes. I'm also starting to get some pilling on my gloves after pretty light usage. Not bad for the price though.
Got these as a replacement for some Marmot powerstretch gloves that I lost... These Burtons are good value for $20... I just wanted something for everyday use, driving, shoveling, taking the dog out, etc... my only beef is that they have started to pill a little bit after a month of moderate use... I can see myself wearing them down somewhat quickly, but with as fast as I normally lose this sort of thing, the price makes up for the lack of durability. Picking up a few extra pairs as backup.
These liners are the best I've ever had. They're a little thicker than most other liners I've owned - they're about the thickness of expedition weight long underwear - but they still work great. A little bit of dexterity is lost to the thickness, but the warmth gained is nice too. The silicon palm makes them perfect for driving and handling gear. The do pill up like someone else complained, but for me it's only been between the fingers, and it's not bad. I'd get another pair, but they seem really durable, so I doubt I'll need them anytime soon!
These liner run the correct size. The palms have material that hold grip very well, almost too good while trying to put them inside my North Face Montana gloves. They are thin enough for running. When they get wet, the moisture is wicked to the outside and dry fast.. Love these gloves.
I love these gloves! Theyre sexy and they're warm! I could use them for anything! The palm grip is awesome! i got the red ones and i almost feel like more...
