Nobody is happy with sweaty, wet gloves—try the Burton Men’s Pipe Glove next time you build a kicker, hit the halfpipe, or drive your old school pickup truck. Even when wet, the neoprene palm won’t lose its grip on the shovel, T-bar or steering wheel. With the Pipe’s DryRide Ultrashell, you won’t have to worry about soggy or wind-chilled hands when you ride the halfpipe or park on slushy spring days.

So could this particular glove keep your fingers warm, even on a chilly day?

Responded on

It will keep your hands pretty warm. I wear a glove like this 90% of the days I ride and then I still keep a warm pair of mittens in my car for those super cold days.

These gloves are stylin, they stay dry, and at moderate temps keep the fingers feeling cozy. Just stay away from velcro cuz the mesh-like material on the back of fingers will fray like crazy.

Great Gloves A+

These glove are awesome for snowboarding and everyday use. You don't have to snowboard to love these. Grippy, Warm, Clean, and Colorful: What else could you ask for? I've had the Burton Pipe gloves for nearly 2 months and still love them. Do not forget to button them together when you get to messed up; you don't want to lose these hipster gloves. Respect.l

When were the burton pipe gloves released??

Responded on

First release? It must have been over 10 years ago. However, they have gone through many, many evolutions.

The gloves are awesome! I love the palms as they are kind of sticky... like football player gloves. Grab that board and hold on!

are they warm? and how water proof are they? bottom line is should i use these or should i just go get other gloves that i emant to be warm, i just want warm flexible gloves

This is more of a spring riding pipe glove... although some ride it full year round. If you get cold easy this is probably not the one for you.

This glove is awesome, really flexible, has great grip and looks/fits amazing... just not built for warmth.

However, this glove is amazing, is flexible, and warm:

Yes they are a pipe glove made for spring riding and of course the pipe, Not the warmest glove on the market but are awesome none the less. Check out the link Ryan posted. They are legit.

so what is a pipe glove compaired to a regualer glove?

Responded on

A pipe glove is more light weight, and better for a cool or warm day on the mountain. Their extreme grip allows for fantastic grabs, and they are a lot less of a hassle than the regular, bulky gloves.

sweet gloves

the gloves are great, the best park gloves i've owned yet. they actually are some what water proof, a long session in the park hiking your hands will be wet though. highly recommend

Knuckle Draggers

They have padding on the knuckles which is pretty cool encase you decide you wanna be a knuckle dragger. There is a little bit of leather here and there on the glove that has gotten wet, but nothing Nikwax can't fix!

The palms are gripped out, whatever you latch onto your not gonna let go of! They are great gloves for normal blue bird days.

Best "thin-all-around-the year" gloves

I bought this gloves 6 weeks ago and so far I have been riding them only on the glacier at -5°C.

These gloves are a bit more insulated than real spring gloves. The material on the upper side is some kind of foam which gives you a bit of insulation. I would say it is possible to ride them up to -7°C, if your jacket covers most of the glove most of the time.

The palm features super-sticky print that makes grabs so much easier. I stick to the board even if I virtually grab the board with my fingertips.

I was able to put the red wrist-guards underneath them with a little effort.

I don't know how long they will last or how they perform in slushy spring conditions. So far, they are amazing!
