Why We Like The Burton Pillowline GORE-TEX Jacket
The Burton Pillowline GORE-TEX Jacket keeps us cozy dry when lapping the resort. The fully seam-sealed construction and breathable membrane block out spray and fresh flakes, while the synthetic fill traps warmth without feeling bulky. When we bootpack for hidden powder stashes, we open the underarm zips to boost airflow.

As an "advanced beginner" skiier I needed some good, waterproof gear to get me through long days on the mountain where I fall a lot. I always idolized snowboarders and their fashion choices, but skiing was a better fit for me as an adult beginner. This is an excellent jacket for skiing at my home mountain in Oregon. Pros: Holds all my essentials Comfy even over multiple base layers and bibs Zips up quickly, solidly and without drama. I love the fleece lining around the neck. I am super dry at the end of my day even when I yard sale in 4 feet of powder. I also can wear this around town in the cold rain and look good and stay dry. The ONLY improvement I would make is it would be nice if it were cut a bit wider at the hip/thigh area or had zippers on the sides. When zipped all the way when you bend or sit the jacket bunches up a bit. The larger size was too roomy everywhere else to justify sizing up. Doesn't mess with the functionality, just looks a little weird and feels awkward. I know ski jackets are shorter for this reason, but even if I were a boarder I think I would still want that option as an hourglass gal with hips. But that is such a minor point, and I'm not aware of this being an option with other brands, just the way things are. Love Burton, will be a customer for life - hope they expand into ski focused clothing :)
