If lightweight’s your game, the Burton Ozone Snowboard Boot’s the name. Team riders Mason, Mikkel, and Downing had a hand in the creation of this soft-flexing boot, so you know the quality wasn’t sacrificed for the sake of weight reduction. The Ozone features Burton’s Flex 2 liner, which combines a buttery flex with strategically located TaiPanels that juice up support for landings. For cushioning during hard stomps, Burton added molded EVA footbeds and B3 gel pads that won’t break down. The J-Bar system lets you dial in the amount of heel-hold you need, and the Speed Zone lacing system makes tightening and loosening your boots easier than tying your shoes. EST-optimized midsoles bring you closer to your bindings for better board feel. - Fall 2008.
Bottom Line: Burton’s lightest boot doesn’t scrimp on performance.
I did not get to try these on the slopes, but I tried them on and these boots are *ridiculously* light and comfortable! Day & Night compared with my 2007 Hails. I ended returning mine because the yellow is too bright but I'm soooo getting these in Black.
sorry for rediculously long pre-review...but ive ridden enough to complete it...ill make it shorter this time. WOW these are so comfortable still, went to the local shop and threw in em in a heat molder and they fit absoultley perfect now. ive been dealing with dead toes, crushed toes, and a bad pressure spot on all of my boots for the past few years and now all those problems are gone! (ordered true to size, didnt even pack out a half size, still snug n nice)...while riding they are very comfortable, i was weary about them because they are so soft, but once you get em laced up nice n tight, they are just as responisive as any other boots. but way more comfortable and perfect for buttering and just having a relaxed ride. took some tree runs to test response and they did great...Cushioning is awesome for hard landings. they arent too huge so they fit nicley into lots of bindings. Must be the most comfortable boots ever made, only problem is that the speed zone laces can undo themselves if you dont REALLY push em down into the cleats. BOTTOM LINE if you want happy feet, buy these boots
Just take the liner out. You will see velcro panels on the sides of the liner. Just velcro the J-bars to the side of the liners, put em back in and your good to go.

Very comfy... fast and easy to get on and off. I wish the strings had a better place to go but I just tuck them into the tongue area. I would buy these again. I really needed a smaller foot print as I wear as size 15 and had alot of toe drag before. I still have some but it is alot better.
My son picked these and loves them. No problems so far. He always buys Burton so I don't anticipate anything but great customer service if anything goes wrong.
ok i tried mine on for the first time an hour ago and havent taken them off yet, i dont want to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...theres so much to say already -first and foremost these are hands down the most comfortable things i have EVER put on my feet (i ordered true to size too)...they cradle your feet perfectly and the cushioning is amazing, even when i pull them as tight as i possibly can, frightening myself that im going to break the strings, they are still mazingly comfortable, no pressure spots like all my previous boots...even pressure with a snug fit, incredible!...and no heel slipping either, its the best fitting boot ive ever experiences -next is the lacing system, for those of you used to previous years speed zone lacing systems, this isnt the same, all the laces are fixed and you dont have to pull around the middle two laces and hook em on the loop, streamlines the process...and its so fast!!!!! ive been using lace boots for a while and these take my lace up time from about 5 min to 1 min, its worth it too, i hated lacing my boots getting feet in is an easy glide, same thing with getting them out. -last thing, that noones really talked about...the flex is R-E-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S-L-Y SOFT!!!!!!!!! STRAIGHT UP S-T-U-P-I-D SOFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you have to trust me, im not exagerating at all, you can lean foreward on the boots and they flex and collapse almost like you arent wearing boots at all, its insane amount of flex, like -10 on a 1 to 10 scale, and then they added the articulated cuff to boot! DO NOT WEAR THESE IF YOU ARE INTO BIG MOUNTIAN PURSUITS!...these are total park/freestyle boots, and the flex is perfect for walkig around, is essential for me
BOTTOM LINE: i havent even worn them riding and i dont care, im not returning them for anything, if my feet ever hurt then im going to put these on becasue the amount of comfort will probably make my feet feel better.
and what the heck guys? these fit very true to size, and they will pack out because of the moldable liner so you definitly have to order ur size
ill write another review after i use em on mountian, i cant wait!
I bought these boots at the beggining of the season and had to return them. They had very little support, and absolutley killed me feet. I ended up getting the 32 Lashed and those are awesome!
The quick lace system also sucks... no place to put the excess strings. All in all.. these boots suck and for the price you can get a far superior boot.
I did not get to try these on the slopes, but I tried them on and these boots are *ridiculously* light and comfortable! Day & Night compared with my more...
sorry for rediculously long pre-review...but ive ridden enough to complete it...ill make it shorter this time. WOW these are so comfortable still, went more...
