What if it's 20 degrees out? Will the pipe freeze?

no, the only time you may have to worry about it is when you get to 5-10 degrees or below 0.... its miserable riding in those temps anyway :) Truly, I have not had problems with freezing and I've hiked to the top of 14'ers.. in really cold temps.

Hydration

Riding all day with out some sort of fluid is a really bad idea. You don't think you are thirsty but your body would tell you differently. This bag solves that problem. The Oasis pack holds up to 70 ounces of liquid. That is more than enough for a day of riding or hiking. The bag also has room for whatever ever else you would like to carry on these adventures. It also has a vertical board carry system. Really great bag.

not insulated per-say... However, I have never had a problem with freezing. Its a thicker rubber tube and a thick rubber mouth piece.

They are not. The tube and bite valve are just exposed the whole time.
