More snowboarders wear the Burton Moto Snowboard Boot than any boot on the planet - and for good reason. The forgiving, comfy flex and easy-to-use Speed Zone lacing system have made the Moto a favorite for still-learning riders looking for a serious upgrade from questionable rental boots. The best part? You'll have enough cash left over for a lift ticket and a lesson or two.
Bottom Line: The boot that will take you from linking your first turns to launching your first kicker.
Ok so i normally wear a 9.5 shoe....but when i went to princeton sports they measured my shoe size and i was an 8....So do i go with what they measured me as? or do I go with the shoe size that i wear everyday?
I have Burton Cartel Bindings size L (10+). I wear a size 10 in normal shoes and was thinking about getting size 10.5 in the motos per reviews. My question is with the new Shrinkage Footprint Reduction Technology, If I get these boots will my bindings no longer fit??
Don't get 10.5. If you are 10 in shoes then get a 10 in boots. Burton boots are 1:1 lasting. This means they are made to fit your true size of foot. You bindings should be fine. You will have to adjust the straps but you will be all good.

Hey, I just bought these boots and i noticed that in my right boot, the laces were way longer than the left and they were different lengths by alot. Is this normal, or should i bring them back for another pair.
If it is going to bug you then send them back, but it doesn't make a difference. The lace length won't affect the performance of the boot at all. The Moto is awesome.
I've only had these maybe 2 seasons, and they are effed in every way. the speed lacing system stripped and the teeth no longer grab the lace, so i have to tie to lace around my boot every time i use my "speed lacing system. furthermore, when i ride with these boots, my feet hurt at the end of the day, and i can never seem to get comfortable for too long. all in all, if you have to go cheap these are alright, but if you ride quite a bit (40+ days a year) these boots are not going to last long.
i've had these boots for 3 years now and i ride probably 80+ days a year and i do competition in them they're great and i've never had anything go wrong with them except for they are a little worn down where my feet hit together when i walk and as for the speed lacing a replacment piece is $3 at your local board so and i dont see how you wore down the teeth unless you were using a file to do it so i dont know what your talking about.... I would recomend these to anyone
If I were to get the Burton Moto Snowboard Boots what kind of Burton Binding would you recommend? I'm looking to get my own board, boots, bindings and would like some help. Thanks!
I tried on the Burton Moto in size 12, which is what I wear in a normal shoe size, and my toes were right at the end but not uncomfortable.
I then tried on size 13 and it seemed as though even after tightened, my heel moved up and down. What I don't know is how the heat molding will affect either boot.
I got rid of my last boots because my big toe would rub. The size 12 just has me a little nervous, that's why I looked at 13s.
You want your toes to be touching the end but not uncomfortably, heel lift is your worst enemy. If you heel raises up too much you will not be happy at all while riding. Go with the 12.
Always go smaller... I was a boot fitter for years and with the way you describe the boot it should be fine once you wear the boot and it packs out... If after the boot packs out you still need a little bit of room any good boot fitter should be able to make the boot fit just fine, you can always make more room in a boot (to a point) but you can never shrink a boot or liner...
