Hey my friend was saying that they make an adapter for this binding so it can be put on regular 6 screw bindings. I was just wondering if anyone knows if this is true?
Thanks

how does this channel thing work? do you just run screws into the channel?

Responded on

Burton EST Bindings can only be mounted on a Burton Board with the channel or ICS. Female inserts slide into the channel and male inserts attached the bindings to the board.

EST/ICS allows for ultimate board flex and feel. It also allows for unlimited stance options.

The number one binding

The 2011 Burton mission est bindings are my favorite binding I've had i will never go to a disc binding agina I love my burton 2011mission binding I got them size medium and there so light est Is by removing the materials under you feet there reducing the weight that a normal binding would it's more light and and you can chose you stance option make shure you have a Burton board that has the channel and you can change the foot beds on the 2011 mission est bindings ever est binding comes with the m6 mouting hardware kit so you mount it on your channel board it comes with a booklet so it shows you how you can adjust your stance with est and shows how you adjust your bindings so thay fit well with your boots this binding is good for park riding pillows and I'm very happy with this binding

Will these fit the Burton 2011 The White Collection board?

Responded on

Jason depending on what model you have. The TWC Pro has the channel which is compatible with these EST bindings. However if you have the TWC Standard board you are going to need non EST bindings with traditional hole pattern.

I would go with the Large.

Medium EST's will fit a size 11 Burton boot with Shrinkage tech, but I doubt your DC will squeeze in it.

Great for beginners to intermediates

I purchased these bindings after switching back and forth from rental Ride bindings and Burton Cartel bindings. Most of the other reviews are spot on when they say that the Missions are just a step down in stiffness from the Cartels. They are perfect for me because although I like stiff bindings for increased responsiveness, the surfer side of me wants to have just a bit more flex in them to pull off those nice wide Shralps in the pow pow. The canted highbacks are great as the make the bindings feel more ergonomically appropriated to the skate/surf stance. I wasnt really a fan of how the Cartels would make you "lean" forward, but if you have a more aggressive style I would choose the Cartels. The missions are great for first time bindings, or even if you're a beginner looking to progress into some new gear. The straps can feel a little tight at times but they are pretty easy to adjust on the fly. After a few laps smashing down the mountain its pretty quick to forget about. Rather have them nice and snug than too loose. The EST setup make adjusting the bindings super easy, probably pne of the most innovative ideas Burton has put out. Plus lime green looks badass. :) great binding if you know what you are looking for.

Anyone who is a beginner or is just getting sick or cranking down your bindings every single time check out flow bindings they use a dope mechanism to strap in yourself and be the first shredding the mountain I use these and I've never ever had a complaint there totally rad they come out with some sick looking bindings and are not high priced I promise it will make your life that much easier!

Will the binding work on an Arbor Element Board?

All apologies our EST bindings will only work with Burton channel boards.

I was just wondering what is so special about the EST. Is there a specific type of board that these will work with and not with others?

Responded on

EST offers the most amount of flexibility, comfort, and board feel from a binding. EST will flex 90% more than a traditional disk binding. It will only work on an channel Burton board.

How does this compare to the Burton Prophecy?...

How does this compare to the Burton Prophecy? One thing I like about the Burton Prophecy is that the ratchets are all metal. Are the ratchets on the Burton Mission bindings all metal, or the cheap plastic on cheaper bindings?

Responded on

Prophecy beings hace 70% better flex than a traditional disk binding, where as EST bindings flex 90% more. EST allows for better flex of the board. The Prophecy will have a nicer ankle strap as well as a better toe cap. The missions are great bindings though, best bang for your buck for sure. If you have a Channel board from Burton then get EST bindings for sure.

Thx, Lyman! I think I will go with your suggestion on getting EST bindings. But now I have to figure out which EST bindings to get! Any suggestions? If cost is not too much of an issue, would you recommend the Mission EST, Cartel EST, C02 EST, Malavita EST, or C60 EST? For that matter, some of them have "Restricted" versions, which I'm not really sure what the difference is.

I'm still a beginner-intermediate, but hope to advance well enough to justify buying the new bindings and board. I'm not likely to go to the park and rather have control and such over the need for speed or tricks.

comfortable binding with limitless possible setups

These bindings rock! I have them paired with a Burton Operator board and I couldn't be happier. The EST system gives you limitless possibilities with your setup, and if you (or the slopes) has a screw driver handy, you can make quick adjustments to fit how you're riding that day. They are super comfortable and preform really well. I would advise checking out youtube for some tips on setting them up if you've never had EST bindings before. They really let you dial in a custom setup designed just for you and your riding style.

Mission

The Burton Mission binding. It is one of the most ridden bindings on the market for a reason. Which is comfort and performance. Year after year the Mission improves.

This year the Mission has a new single component Canted High back, similar to the old Cartel high back. Another improvement is the New removable shredBed 2.0. This foot bed is ultra lightweight and features a stance indicator window for easy mounting.

The binding is made out of 30% short glass and a Nylon composite to give the rider strength and flexibility. The Mission has a 6 responsiveness rating.
