Fashion meets function in a way you have to see to believe.
No, you're not seeing things—the Burton Women's Mirage Jacket really does combine mountain-worthy performance with runway-ready style. Bold color options and a long, relaxed fit help you stand out on the slopes, while proven Burton tech ensures you stay dry and warm while your ride.
Dryride Durashell waterproofing and fully taped seams keep the elements at bay, and low-profile recycled Thermolite insulation helps you stay toasty without laying it on too thick. The new Living Lining helps regulate temperature so you stay warm on the lift, but don't overheat on the ride down. If you do get a little too hot, mesh-lined underarm vents help you cool off in a hurry.
A removable powder skirt and jacket-to-pant interface can be employed to keep snow out on deep powder days. It also has shred-specific pockets to hold all your daily essentials, including a new Screen Grab Media Holster. This special pocket has a touchscreen-compatible window so you can shoot texts and post pics without exposing your phone to the elements.

burton does it again
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: True to size
Burton always hits it out of the park on their outwear. Great fit, best style around, best colors around, and then full technical functionality as well.
The long cut was what Sarah was looking for most of all. But, she needed to look good, and stand out. This jacket stood out above the other options by a long shot. The Sandstruck Metallic/Tropic color is a white gold, which is definitely unique. The only complaint so far is that it is a little stiff (loud and crinkly) at first, but that is breaking in nicely as the season progresses.
The Durashell material Burton uses is up there with Gore in terms of waterproof/breathable. And, has just enough insulation to keep you warm without having to layer underneath very heavy.
The Screen Grab Media Holster. which is inside the chest pocket is an awesome addition. It keeps your phone attached to your jacket so you don't have to worry about dropping it when you pull it out on the lift.
Beautiful and functional
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Love this jacket! It is warm and dry. I really like the long length; relaxed fit ;the style and color ( I got the watercolor print). There is a media pocket, and large pockets on the front are great for gloves or larger items. The powder skirt inside is a plus for keeping out the cold and snow. After reading the sizing, I got an XL ( I have an athletic build/broad shoulders) but it was HUGE! I exchanged it for a Large and the fit is perfect.
