Mint Snowboard Boot - Women's

There’s a reason the Burton Women’s Mint Snowboard Boot has been the number-one selling women’s boot in the known universe for seven years in a row. Plain and simple, it’s a great boot at a great price. Burton incorporated its groundbreaking Speed Zone lacing into the shell, so you can easily and precisely dial in the fit of the upper and lower boot parts. This could also explain the Mint’s massive popularity, because who has time or patience to deal with standard lacing?

  • Power Panel technology in the liner ensures a consistent flex through several seasons of riding
  • Imprint 1 liner is heat-moldable for a custom fit, just like you get on the high-end expensive boots
  • Two-part outsole features EVA cushioning for comfort and Rubber Ice Spikes for cat-like footing on ice

Bottom Line: Don’t fight the Mint-y tide.

Major Bummer

I returned these boots after 20 days of riding in them. They made my feet go numb every time I wore them. When I hooked my snow pants to the laces so they didn't ride up it made the lacing loose. I would much rather lace my boots up and take 30 extra seconds then EVER wear these boots again. I am a Burton boot loooover! I had worn the Sapphire for the last 4 seasons and loove them. Thought I would try out this new lacing tech... In my opinion traditional lacing is the way to go! It just seemed like these boots were never ever ever going to break in even with heat molding.

Much better (for me) than the higher-end expensive boots

Got these after a horrible experience with the more expensive, and theoretically better high-end Burton Sapphire boot.

Just wearing them in the house they were a million times better. They are low-profile, so it doesn't feel like you are a wearing a honker of a boot. They feel more like a very large sneaker. The flex is forgiving--not stiff like the Sapphire, and the interior is soft. Arch support could use some work, but the tongue and top of the boot don't press down harshly on the top of the foot. While I did experience some discomfort and numbness, that has to do with tying the boots and cranking the bindings too tight. There is room for toe warmers in these, too. I typically wear anywhere from a size 7 to 8 in women's shoes, so I went with a size 8 and I'm happy with that.

I was skeptical about the lacing system, but after using it I can say that I have never been able to actually lace up regular style lace-up boots as tight and secularly as using this speed-zone system. I was worried that tugging on the strings might break them, but that hasn't happened (yet). I got the boots as tight as I wanted them, even too tight. But the good thing is, if one part is too tight, like the lower zone/top of foot (where my feet tend to lose circulation and grow numb when too tight) you can loosen that while keeping the ankle and shin area tight. I like that customization. The speed zone on the inner liner is great, too.

All around, for less money than the higher end boots Burton offers, I feel like this offers comparable performance. No wonder it's their best seller. And the green pattern is super cute! :)

Train wreck

Got a pair of these for a friend who has been having trouble finding the right pair of soft boots. Her feet felt great (which is why this product gets two stars and not one), however, on her second run down the mountain, a shoelace snapped out of its binding and we had to tie it around the boot just so that she could get down the slope without twisting her ankle. My 3-yr old Salomon boots = 1, overpriced Burton = 0. Will never buy Burton stuff again.
