A favorite of the top pros for a reason.

Ridden by the likes of Mark McMorris, Danny Davis, and Jeremy Jones, the Burton Malavita Re:Flex Snowboard Binding is a freestyle favorite among the top pros on Earth. One look at the deadspot-reducing Re:Flex technology, AutoCANT FullBed, and Zero-Lean Hi-Back with Heel Hammock and you'll suddenly realize why this binding crushes everything in its path. It's a bit softer than the Cartel, falling in the medium responsiveness range, which actually makes it a killer all-terrain freestyle binding as well.

Designed with Burton's Single-Component Re:Flex baseplate, the Malavita Re:Flex removes unnecessary materials, reducing the deadspot inherent to traditional mounting discs. This design has a minimized baseplate and hinged disc that maximizes the flex of your board, also reducing weight for a lighter overall package. The Re:Flex baseplate works with any mounting system available, mounting to 4-hole, 3D, and Channel systems right out of the box.

Adding a bit of play for tweaking tricks, yet still delivering tons of response when you're carving from heel-to-toe, the binding's Single-Component, Canted Living Hinge, Zero-Lean Hi-Back has a Heel Hammock to cradle the back of your boot comfortably against the binding. There's tool-less Dial-Flad adjustment, allowing you to crank in the forward lean, should you lap the pipe or carve aggressively down the mountain.

Cushioning your jumps and landings, the binding's AutoCant FullBed features B3 Gel for optimum shock absorption from heavy hits. And because the instep's EVA foam is softer than that on the outside, the binding naturally conforms to your stance for a more comfortable riding experience. Additionally, the Malavita Re:Flex features an Asym Hammockstrap that can be switched around, should you choose to have more support on the inside of the strap. Plus, there's a Super Grip Capstrap that secures tightly over your toe for a precise fit without any slop. The Burton Double-Take buckles have helical teeth and Insta-Click for immediate engagement. The result is a binding that ratchets in faster with fewer cranks for your desired tightness.

Sweet bindings

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Gave these to a friend. His feedback is below and yes, locals, he won that board at the powder keg event at Brighton this year.

PROS - great binding good flex still responsive I like the hammock hi backs works great I like the top strap and the easy off feature the b3 gel is great off jumps didnt even bother me

CONS - runs small I got a 9.5 boot size and I gotta max out the straps and footpad. The toe strap is ok waiting for it to sofen up I guess and it's not easy strapping in with that double teeth straps, videos made it look easy maybe I'm still getting use to it but it wasn't easy for me

Sweet bindings

The Go-To Binding!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These bindings are great. There were already a ton of reviews on them that pushed me towards buying the Malavitas. They are a great flex for all mountain riding, although I've taken them in to the park as well as through a good amount of powder. I would definitely suggest these bindings to anyone! I wear a women's size 9 boot, so I got the size medium for these bindings.

timeless classic

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

there is not much to say about this binding that has not been said. Since it came out around 4 years ago its been the go to binding for me year after year. Literally can handle any thing you throw at them and they dont feel like they are over powering your foot. Perfect for the park and just as good if you like to rip turns on the groomer and in deep snow. I would recommend them to any one who straps a snowboard to their feet !

Solid All Around Binding

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Had previously ridden the Burton Diode, and found it to be too stiff for everyday riding. This is the perfect balance. Love the autocant fullbed. Makes them perfect for people with knee pain who like a little wider stance.

Jack of All

I've ridden these a bunch.

If you've got compatibility, sizing or performance questions, hit me up.

Jack of All

Rick,

Yeah the toe cap fits my boots nicely. I've got a set of ThirtyTwo Tm-Two's, a set of Vans Infuse boots and just picked up a set of Burton Driver X's. No issues with any of them.

What boots are you rocking? What size bindings do you have? What size boots do you have?

Burton Do-It-All Binding

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've tested/owned bindings from a range of brands so if you've got questions about bindings or want me to get you into the right snowboard set up that'll match your riding style, definitely get in contact with me.

I've used the Malavita Re:Flex and EST and really liked the flex for hitting side kickers and the forgiveness they offered on landings.

Handling :
The Malavita's do a bit of everything pretty well. They handled nice on hardpack at speed while laying down a carve but also had the right about of flex on landings. Burton calls these a 5 out of 10 and I'd peg that as pretty accurate.

Sizing/Compatibility:
If you've got questions about compatibility or sizing, run those by me!

Questions:
If you've got questions or want to chat about these binders before picking up a pair, definitely get in contact with me an we can chat about your riding style and which binding / snowboard set up will be best for you.

Burton Do-It-All Binding

Hi Jared,
How do you compare this one to cartels? I'm researching for options to get for my husband. He just started learning this season but we do want to get something that can last him once he improve to intermediate level. I've personally used cartels before and I like it, I also normally use the Lexa on my board.

Thanks!
