Dialed-in freestyle dominator.

Ridden by the likes of Mark McMorris, Danny Davis, and Jeremy Jones, the Burton Malavita Re:Flex Snowboard Binding is a freestyle favorite among the top pros on earth. One look at the deadspot-reducing Re:Flex technology, AutoCant FullBed, and Zero-Lean Hi-Back with Heel Hammock and you'll suddenly realize why this binding crushes anything in its path. It's a bit softer than the Cartel, falling in the medium responsiveness range, which actually makes it a killer all-terrain freestyle binding as well.

Designed with Burton's Single-Component Re:Flex baseplate, the Malavita Re:Flex removes unnecessary materials, reducing the deadspot inherent to traditional mounting discs. This design has a minimized baseplate and hinged disc that maximizes the flex of your board, also reducing weight for a lighter overall package. The Re:Flex baseplate works with any mounting system available, mounting to 4-hole, 3D, and Channel systems right out of the box.

Adding a bit of play for tweaking tricks, yet still delivering tons of response when you're carving from heel-to-toe, the binding's Single-Component, Living Hinge, Zero-Lean Hi-Back has a Heel Hammock to cradle the back of your boot comfortably against the binding. There's tool-less Dial-Flad adjustment, allowing you to crank in the forward lean, should you lap the pipe or carve aggressively down the mountain.

Cushioning your jumps and landings, the binding's AutoCant FullBed features B3 Gel for optimum shock absorption from heavy hits. And because the instep's EVA foam is softer than that on the outside, the binding naturally conforms to your stance for a more comfortable riding experience. Additionally, the Malavita Re:Flex features an Asym Reactstrap that can be switched around, should you choose to have more support on the inside of the strap. Plus, there's a Gettagrip Capstrap that secures tightly over your toe for a precise fit without any slop.

New for this year, the Malavita Re:Flex uses Burton's Double Take Buckles that are normally found on the Genesis. These buckles have helical teeth and 'Insta-Click' for immediate engagement. The result is a binding that ratchets in faster with fewer cranks for your desired tightness.

Malavita Restricted RE:FLex

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are the best bindings I have ever used. I ride 100+ days a season, at work and my days off, I work for Snowmass ski area. these bindings I ride in all conditions from icy spring conditions to the deepest snow on powder days. I bought another pair today because I love them SO MUCH!! I'm a big fan of the asymmetric design of the straps. The winged high back that comes with a specific color scheme... this years specifically was the black and tan model only.... I can really feel the control in any conditions. The AutoCant fullbed is rad, with the gas pedal under your toes it feels as if your ready to turn onto your toe edge at any moment.... feels really responsive. This years model has the Double Take Straps for extra fast ratcheting. The new Flex Slider straps addition to the bindings helps to get the ankle strap out of the way to easily step into bindings. ... this has always been a issue with the bindings in the past, but not anymore! Don't Think Twice!! Buy a pair today!

2013 Winged Highback

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I scored a pair of 2013 Winged Highback 'Vitas from a Burton outlet for 70% off and couldnt be happier! These are hands down the most responsive, comfortable and durable binding ive owned. I was skeptical of the wing at first thinking it must just be for looks or something but when buttering around in these compared to my old bindings (Rome 390 Boss) you can feel the added support from the wing. When i run these into the mountain i will 100% buy another pair of the same.

functional and stylish

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Picked these up in Oxblood, size large for my little brother as a present and he had only positive things to say about them. The kid is all about looking good and he loves these. He also said:
"they help a ton with balance and stability; and I feel like I can go faster with them and maneuver around obstacles way easier too...these bindings make my board go from a guy driving a vespa with bad credit to a guy driving a rolls royce with a liscence plate that says "wolf" on it"

If that doesn't sell ya I don't know what does.

Smooth transitions.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm not a huge fan of Burton. But i have been riding customs since Jeff Goldblum was making appearances in Jurassic Park. I decided to spend a little more on my bindings this time and haven't noticed any spectacular differences. They are a little heavier, but they certainly get the job done.
