Cute. But too short and tight.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

Burton's style and ideas are great, but the fit is almost always bad for me.
I bought this and the midweight crew for snowmaking last fall/winter. I LOVED the midweight crew. I just bought 2 more. The lightweight let me down. The fit on me was ridiculous. Too tight in the shoulders and chest and far too short for my torso! I bought these because they advertise a long cut, but that was not the case. I am 5'10" so that always catches my eye.
I would have returned but I ended up wearing it a few times on the warmer days. Material wicks sweat and moisture great! I love the antimicrobial "stink free" fabric for those long 12 hour days.
I definitely prefer my midweight crew though, even on the warmest of days on the slopes.

Solid baselayer

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I have several of the Burton lightweight crew's and love them. The overall fit is perfect - it's snug in the chest (D) and arms, but not super tight through my midsection. The longer length is so great too. Exactly what a baselayer should be IMO. I tend to be a Sweaty Betty (I get hot easily) and this lightweight version kept me from overheating while working the slopes on 20-30 degree days.

Yepper

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: x-large

This is great, lightweight and silky. Order up a shirt size if you like breathing room; the large pants fit way better with the x-large shirt.
