    Sophisticated style, ruthless performance.

Wrapping your feet in the luxurious look of genuine Red Wing leather, the Burton Men's Ion Leather Snowboard Boot combines the elegance of leather with aggressive all-terrain performance. Designed with a Firm Flex PowerUp Tongue, this hard-charging boot delivers next-level response for sending huge hits, popping powdery pillows, and raging down the mountain.

Speed Zone Lacing independently tightens the upper and lower zones with the simple tug of a handle, and Burton added New England Ropes laces this year for durability you can trust. Featuring a unique Burton-exclusive construction, the Infinite Ride 4 liner will never break down or feel flimsy so you can charge the mountain with confidence season after season. Additionally, this high-end, heat-moldable liner is constructed with Tuff Cuff for increased heel hold, wrapping the ankle with medial and lateral support for a dialed-in fit that's not too restrictive.

New for this season, the breathable DryRide Heat Cycle lining pulls heat-robbing sweat away from your skin while also capturing and radiating heat back to your foot so you stay warm and comfy all day long. Retaining heat during the coldest of shred sessions, the boot's Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil reflects body heat back to your foot to keep your toes cozy. ReBounce cushioning and a Level 2 molded EVA footbed absorb shock from harsh landings and smooth out vibrations when you're riding through choppy terrain. The AutoCANT EST-Optimized sole automatically aligns with your body's natural stance in order to reduce foot fatigue and relieve pressure on your knees, and it's low-profile for maximum board feel and control. The Ion Leather is finished off with an Aegis antimicrobial treatment that helps fight foot funk so the smell isn't overwhelming when you let the dogs loose at the end of the day.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

First off, I don't like writing bad reviews and I am a huge fan of Burton. My last boots lasted me 8 or 9 seasons trekking all over North America. I was excited when I got these (especially with the redwing partnership); they are extremely comfortable and much smaller footprint than my old ones. They had great support, but flexed, and were breaking in fast in the first days of the season (Wahoo!). Then I took them out in the cold on a powder day. After one run they were completely soaked through and I could actually feel the wind coming through the boots. After four days of riding -6 total including the two break in days- the boots were already coming apart . Backcountry graciously replaced them, but the second pair has the same results. One would be lucky to get one season out of these. Not something I have grown accustom to expecting from Burton.

So, if you only shred the park on blue bird days or carve the streets of the village on the way to the bar, these are for you. However, if you take them out to the good, white, fluffy stuff, bring extra socks!

    Responsive boots

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was very impressed with the responsiveness as well as the ability to flex when wanted. These boots are very stiff and responsive but when trying to tweak or flex the boots they will work with you. They fit true to size and are very comfortable! These boots wont let you down!
