Broken wrists just plain suck, so don’t try a cab seven off that thing without the Burton Men’s Impact Gloves. Designed by a snowboarding Orthopedic Surgeon and tested by team riders, these Burton gloves support your wrists, so you can charge without worries. The Impact Glove's wrist support and padded back adds confidence when you decide to step things up a notch, and it eases the minds of riders prone to wrist injuries. This wrist guard's customizable internal support system keeps you hand comfortable and secure without any unneeded pressure points. Burton beefed up this glove with their DRYRIDE waterproof/breathable insert and gave it a brushed microfiber lining to wick sweat, so you'll be dry as well as protected. **DISCONTINUED**

Glove not so good

By:
November 13, 2008

The liners came out of these gloves on the second day. They are not waterproof, they are not warm. However, I still wear them because they do a great job protecting my wrists.

I just found a comparable glove that cost around the same, only there is more technology behind the wrist guards and better liners. Much better glove.

I would not purchase this product again. (XL Black)

Good support

I've had them for 2 years now. IMO they offer good support and are reasonably worm until temperature drops below -10C (14F). I wore them at -17C with additional liner gloves. They are just water-resistant, not waterproof.

good but not great

By:

first off they are sized a bit small and this makes the liner want to come out when you go to take them off. they are super warm, and as far as water proof, use your wet-weather gloves when you go riding in the rain. they have alot of support while still remaining comfortable, but like my helmet its mostly there to remind not to be an idiot~! brown L, worn 5 times so far

Rename them the "Gladiators"

This glove is very functional for it's intent. You will have to keep reminding yourself that it's not a medical brace or hardcast. This glove has padding for the complete knuckle-ridge and everywhere else needed. The DRYRIDE waterproofing is really noteworthy and yes, they will keep your hand toasty. On the left-handed glove, there IS a goggle wipe and the thumbs ARE furnished with the nose-wipe material/ the same materials SPYDER and Northface has for this intent. Which every way you move you hand or wrist you will definitely feel secure and your finger dexterity movement is not restricted - awesome! They also remind you of going into combat with it's rugged look.

OK, but not warm or dry.

By:
December 29, 2008

Used these a few times now and can tell you that they are not the warmest and they don't keep dry. The wrist protection seems
really good and better feel than the single piece of plastic in others that i tried on. I got mediums on accident and they
fit really tight which is probably good for my wrist but bad for warmth. I would go a size larger to fit an insert to keep warm next time. They do seem to be good enough though, im not gonna send them back and i will continue to use them.

Good support

By:

These gloves have really nice support but don't feel too restrictive either. I'm a little concerned about warmth. Haven't used them under 20 F. They seem to have very thin insulation around the fingers where obviously the cold could be a factor.

Not verry warm

These gloves do not keep your hands warm at all. The palms also get really waterlogged. I still wear them because they keep my hands warm though.
