Burton's Hi-Five Mitt features side zippers for easy finger access without exposing the rest of your hands to the elements. Perfect for dexterous filming, snapping pics, or winning the 'wind vs. lighter' battle while riding the lift. Speaking of which, the hidden stash pocket stores, you know, hidden stuff. Like coins. Yeah, definitely coins.

Burton Mittens

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

I just got these mittens after having cold hands every time I went to the mountain. These are now my favorite item in my gear bag. There is nothing worse than having cold hands while up on the mountain. The side zipper is the best thing ever thought of. It makes using your phone, fixing zippers, or any adjustments so much easier. No more taking your gloves off and struggling to get adjusted anymore. I was initially worried they wouldn't be warm due to how thin they are but surprisingly they worked great. You can even wear a glove liner and be ever warmer.

Loving these mittens

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Small

They look great and I cant believe how warm my hands stay considering how light weight these are. I was a little worried at first but I've had no problems even with the extremely cold winter we've had here in New England and I mostly ride at night.

I like a snug fit so I ordered one size down and they're perfect. Chandra in Customer service was great too, she answered all my questions quickly via the live chat feature.

Best glove I've owned.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These gloves are perfect for me. They unzip on the side (which is wonderful) and inside are nice and warm. The waterproofing could be a little better after using them for 2 years, but all in all they are awesome gloves. I will be buying another pair.

Oh, they are very warm. I almost always have to unzip them in the lift line and on the lift to keep my hands from getting too sweaty. The swear is the only reason for my hands to ever get cold. Inside hide-way pocket for whatever (heating pack). These gloves are top notch.

Sick mitts

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are money!

I've ridden a lot of different conditions with different gloves and one thing is always consistent. It sucks when you need to get something out of a pocket while wearing gloves! These solve that problem in the most efficient way possible. I like a little scoobie snack on the chair lift or while hiking for fresh lines and these bad boys make it a quick zip to do that. And it dosen't hurt that the have the legend himself shredding on the top graphic

Side zipper is awesome!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

I usually go with a large when it comes to new gloves/mittens but I had to downsize to a medium for proper fitting.

The glove is great quality and very warm. The side zipper is a great feature if you need to access anything in your pockets without any hassle. If its going to be a super cold day (in the negatives) I would recommend wearing them with a liner. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for some new mittens.

Great Mitten All Around

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

This mitt has been my favorite mitt for 2 years now, I have bought this mitt twice and I am extremely happy with them. The leather palm is very durable and water proof(after the waterproofing is rubbed in, it is included with the gloves). I love the side zip option which makes it easy to access your phone and other things. They are also extremely warm with a very soft lining that makes your hands comfy and toasty! They are even warm in weather that is in the single digits down to about -10 degrees. They are also a great price! I suggest you grab a pair before they are gone, you wont regret it!

high fives all day

This mitt is close to perfection. Yes it has all the great features to keep you warm and cozy on the inside, but the fact you can unzip and release your pretty little fingers is a great added bonus one of the main reason you get these bad boys. Whether you are fixing your binding stopping for a quick photo shoot maybe even a hydrate break deep in the woods these mitts are made for you.

      SO HANDY

I love these mittens! Both of my brothers have an old pair of Analog mitts with the zippered hand and I had been wanting some like it for years, finally Burton made these! They don't make these for women (wtf Burton? don't you know girls like cool stuff too?), so I ordered them in a small (I'm usually medium in wmn's) and they're still a tiny bit big but not to the point of being inconvenient. I will never go back to a pair of mittens that doesn't have the zipper, because these ones are way too convenient. These mitts are so warm that my hands will even start to sweat after a run, but no problem - just open the zippers for some fresh air. Messing with my mp3 player, pulling out my wallet, adjusting my boots, & everything else needing some finger dexterity are no problem when a quick unzip frees your little friends for whatever task you need them for. The only negative thing I could say about these mitts is that there isn't a flap covering the zipper on the inside of the mitt to protect against extra moisture, but honestly I have never had a problem with any wetness getting through the closed zipper.

I love these mittens so much that I lost one of them on the mountain yesterday and am ordering a new pair RIGHT NOW in case it doesn't show up at lost and found... The thought of the inconvenience of a mitt that always has to be pulled off to use my fingers just sucks too bad now that I've experienced the glory of the Hi-Five Mitts :)

One more thing about these mitts: They have a pretty short cuff so they are really best worn inside of your jacket's wrist cuff. So if you have a jacket that doesn't have wrist gaiters or wrist adjusters that can get really tight, these might not work the best for you.

are you guys able to get the denim 11 in...

are you guys able to get the denim 11 in a M size?

        Hello Monica,

Thank you for your question. I am so sorry, but since this is an older model that we have priced in our outlet, we won't be seeing any additional sizes or colors available. We will get fresh shipments of gloves in late summer/early fall, but these will be fresh models for the 2013/2014 season, and won't likely be such a steep deal.
