The Burton Men's Gore-Tex Under Gloves prove you don’t have to blow an entire paycheck to keep your hands warm and dry. Waterproof breathable Gore-Tex inserts under the coated 5K DryRide Ultrashell fabric protect from the wind and water, while Thermacore insulation keeps your digits warm. A small front pocket functions as a vent or a place for a hand-warmer insert, and the removable DryRide Thermex liner's four-way stretch polyester wicks moisture to prevent sweaty palms. Since there are no gauntlets, you can pull your jacket sleeves over these gloves to keep out snow. - Fall 2008.

Bottom Line: Gore-Tex protection without blowing up your bank account.

All I know...

First of all the only reason I am giving it 4 starts instead of 5 is because the sizing is a bit off. I have large hands and usually wear large gloves. I got the large and with the liner (as many others have mentioned) it is a little tight. Not overly tight, but snug. Without the liners they fit perfectly. I am the type of person who's hands always get cold even in mild temps. These are the first gloves I have ever owned that actually keep my hands warm. They are bulky just like any other glove, but I feel like I have enough dexterity to be able to preform normal tasks (except like texting or something) :) BOTTOM LINE: Great product + great price = GREAT GLOVE
Oh yea and btw it keeps rain and snow out. lol but what else do you expect from gore-tex

Great gloves

I got these in Mocha for my husband and in Black Heather Diamond for me. My husband and I both wore these without liners during some HEAVY snow and they kept us both totally warm and dry! Even when we had our hands in the snow quite a bit!! I have a circulation disorder (Raynaud's) and usually can't even wear gloves because my hands get too cold, but not with these - and they could be even warmer with the liners and if you add a heat packet to the zip pouch on top of the hand. They are quite tight if you wear the liners, but the liners are a great glove to wear alone around town. If you want to wear the liners with the outer glove, I'd recommend you order a size up.

Ive used the liners in warm weather, like Timberline in summer, but they are not very water or windproof, or warm :-)...not a good idea for weather proftection

Toasty and dry, maybe a little small

Pretty good gloves. Keep my hands warm and dry, especially with the liners. Comfortable and durable. Seemed to run a little small to me - its tight fit if I have the liners in. The underglove feature makes them look good and discreet, but it is definitely possible to sometimes get snow up your sleeves if they arent completely sealed. Wrist straps prevent snow from entering gloves.

tough as....

I definitely would only use under-gloves anymore. they look so much cleaner thatn over-gloves circa the 1980's. These gloves are super tough and feel like you could hold lava. the Larges are a bit tight on me and i always wear Large. This is probably due to the nice removable lines included

Great Gloves

With the liner these are great for single digit weather. With the liner out the microfleece lined shell is still comfy and allows for a spring glove. Probably 25+ weather. I have ridden in both cold and warm conditions and the glove excels. Great waterproofing as well and the cinch webbing on the wrist is good and still slides under the cuff.
