Burton Gore-Tex Mitten - Men's - 2008 BCS

I've had two pairs of these already and they work great. They do tend to run small, so if you wear a small glove, go for medium. The mitt itself does keep your digits pretty warm even without the glove inside. You'll only have to worry about getting wet if you have the vents open and if you tend to handle the snow often. The mitt fits pretty nice, but with the insert it might be a little snug for some.

I've had mine for two seasons already and haven't had any real issues with them as far as quality. However, my digits do get a little moisture from time to time. But that's probably just normal wear and tear. A good coating of waterproofing should bring them back to new again.

Overall... I see them as a 3/1 system mitt/glove combo. You can wear the mitts by themselves and stay warm. Wear them with the glove insert for the extra cold days or just wear the glove insert by themselves for spring time riding. For all that, I think they're worth the investment.

Oh yeah, I also like how it's a mitt and not a mitt with a built in glove. With your digits moving freely and touching each other, its easier to get and keep them warm.

but i knew that already because i've tried on other burton mitts for this season in the local sporting goods store. they just didn't have this model. all my other gloves i have are medium. the part of the mitt that's supposed to go over your jacket cuff is a lot shorter than my older one (same model from many seasons back) barely covers it and will slide right off with movement.

works well for snowboarding, u can leash them to your wrists, take off the mitt and still have gloves to work with. especially convenient when you're in extremely cold areas and don't want to touch anything with your bare hands.

Great pair of mittens. Liners fit well and still allowed for great dexterity. I wore just the mittens around the base of the mountain and they were really warm, my hand was starting to sweat alittle. These mittens also dry really well over night, they were not moist at all any of the mornings after boarding all day the previous day.

These mittens are ridiculously warm. Only downside is the liners are a little uncomfortable. I don't need to wear them, though. The mittens themselves are plenty warm.

I didn't find it runs that small - I wear Med gloves and the Med for this one fits well. If anything the cuff area is a little shorter than I'm used to but not a big deal.

Super warm, even w/o the liner gloves. Highly recommend!

I use a size medium in virtually all brands of gloves but these are too tight with the thermex glove liners inserted.

These gloves are awesome, haven't needed to use the glove liners yet; they're plenty warm without them. Also really like the zipper that allows you to put a hand warmer into the glove, I haven't used that feature yet either though, because the coldest weather I've boarded in has been about 10 degrees. When the weather is above 30, I need to take the gloves off when I'm on the lift because they're too warm! Can't go wrong with these.

I had a pair of Burton mitts size med I ordered a pair of large's thinking they would be one size bigger. NOT. They where the same if not smaller. And the liners have really big seams in the inside that are not nice.

I am returning these. I didn't even make it to the mountain with them, but I ordered a mens small (and I wear a womans small) and they were too snug, with the lining. The lining is also a glove, defeating the purpose of the mitten - your fingers touching provide more warmth. I also thought they were very bulky. If you are looking for just a mitten (not use the lining) I would say they are good, but otherwise find something else.
