Skate conversion so you can roll or carry your snowboards and tuning gear safely to your next adventure.

If you're not carrying a battery of guitars with you to your next gig on an international tour, the next best thing is hauling your boards to the next mountain adventure. The padded Burton Gig Bag ensures your boards make it safely to your destination. With the capacity to carry multiple boards and a pocket for stashing tools, tuning gear, and wax, you can bring everything you need in one piece of luggage. The double-cushion shoulder strap allows you to carry your gear more comfortably, or you can strap a skateboard to the bottom, grab one of the straps on each end, and roll the bag along. Lockable, contoured zipper pulls fit TSA-approved locks, and the tough polyester outer will keep this bag lasting through many seasons of mountain mischief.

All My Backcountry Gear since 08'

Burton def puts quality into their products as I have purchased not only this gig bag but many other Burton products and gear from and have had Five Star customer service every time I had to make contact with (ie. returns, online orders or talking to an actual person. They not only have great gear but have super fast shipping to the east coast with the new east coast warehouse location. I would highly recommend anyone to make their next purchase of any outdoor gear from! Makin purchases since 2008!

      Excellent airline travel bag!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased the black version of this bag. I needed something that was padded and I felt comfortable putting my board in for airline travel, especially in the cold temps in Alaska. The bag was exactly what I was looking for, it has a good 1/4 to 1/2 in thick padding, a waterproof interior lining and it can fit an amazing amount of stuff! I purchased the 146 as I have a 143 board and I was able to easily fit all my gear inside and could have packed a couple extra pairs of shoes and my 3 day weekends worth of clothing. Although the bag does tend to get heavy quickly. My only nag about the bag is that the zipper doesn't go all the way around both corners of the bag so you have to be sure to slide the board in the one end first before placing the board completely in. Otherwise it is a great bag for an exceptional price.

      Excellent airline travel bag!

This might not be the best place for this question, but I'm not finding a lot of great answers online. Having never flown with my gear before, I've seen most airlines have a policy where your gear bag is supposedly only supposed to include you board/boots. Did they give you any trouble for flying with all your outdoor clothes in your snowboard bag?

      "just fine"

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this bag for my son for Christmas. He is planning a trip to Switzerland in March, and one criterion was the bright stripe to make it stand out on the luggage carousel. He agreed that was a good point, but we were disappointed that the stripe was only on one side; the other side is plain black. Otherwise, in his laconic style, he said that "It works just fine."

      Exactly what I wanted.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Living in Atlanta, I don't get many chances to snowboard. So I fly out west. I bought this bag to take all my crap out for a week or two in Utah this year. Very pleased with my purchase.

I have a 155 and 154 length board, and bought the 156 bag. I fit the two boards, one set of bindings, boots, helmet, jacket, pants, gloves, goggles, all my tuning gear including an iron, and some dirty clothes in here. Granted, it was a bit tight, but it fit, and the bag was great.

The lack of wheels on the back can make for a sore shoulder, but not too bad, and the price was right. Love this bag, very durable material, made to last, and will store all my junk back at home over the summer.

i have a 157 trice pro will it fit in the 156?

So I've got an older 156 Burton bag but ride a 160 and am able to squeeze a 160 into my 156 bag with bindings, boots, clothes, etc.

You should be fine with the 157 in the 156.

Shoot me an email anytime you have questions!

Will this hold two boards (bindings still attached) if I pack them with the decks facing each other? Clearly, I'll line clothes between them too so they don't bump each other much. Thank you!
