The Burton Genesis EST binding is aptly named, in that it's been the first to receive a bunch of Burton's best tech. It all started with the Hammock Hi-Back, which employs a suspension cradle to give you tons of heel-edge control, blended with way more lateral freedom than you're used to, for a loose style and tweaked grabs. The ShredBED 3.0 removable pad take advantage of Burton's The Channel mounting system for unrestricted board feel with tons of padding to smooth out harsh landings. For this year it's updated with Hammockstrap heel straps, which forgoes the usual heavy padding in favor of a rubberized web that saves weight and is way more comfortable. That makes them an ideal match for the Gettagrip Capstrap toe straps. It all adds up to a more secure hold on your boot for better response without compromising comfort or freedom.
