    Soulful freeride spirit.

A premier freeride board with easy-floating aptitude, the Burton Flight Attendant Wide Snowboard makes easy work of slashing fresh pow in the trees, sending cliff drops, and railing carves with precision. The secret to the Flight Attendant's intuitive ability on natural terrain, fresh powder, and variable snow lies within its Balanced Freeride Geometry. This particular version is significantly wider, giving riders a suitable platform for freeriding without toe drag.

Balanced Freeride Geometry combines a tapered directional shape (10mm taper) with set-back camber and early-rise nose, making the board float effortlessly in deep snow without sacrificing its ability to lay an aggressive edge on soft groomers, icy hardpack, and steep lines above treeline. Much like a twin-shaped board, the sidecut is centered along the reference stance, allowing you to ride and stomp switch without it being unwieldy. Think precise carves on morning groomers, slow-rotating backside 180s into powder, and stylish methods off cliff drops for the Flight Attendant's preferred use.

New for this year, the Flight Attendant uses bio-based Super Sap resin that reduces the board's carbon footprint by 50%, compared to petroleum-based epoxies used on traditional boards. Delving inside this freeride specialist, the FSC Certified Super Fly II 700G Core is optimized for effortless float with lighter woods placed in strategic zones. Squeezebox core profiling thins out the core for increased energy transfer and easier turn initiation, making the board surprisingly nimble for darting in the trees and ripping carves at the resort.

    • Premier freeride board excels on natural terrain

    • Sintered WFO base is ultra-fast and durable
    • Burton designs high-performance boards with 39 years of expertise

    Wide Option:
And for the guys that have the bigger feet, the Flight Attendant is being made in a 159cm Wide and a 162cm Wide.

    Flight Attendant:
I've ridden a few different sizes of the Flight Attendant and the 162cm is hands down my favorite. Of all Burton boards, the Flight Attendant is in my "top 2" for favorite boards from Burton. Took me about 3-4 days of riding on it to win me over and get my sizing just right.

The 159cm felt a tad soft compared to the flex pattern of the 162cm. The 162cm is just better suited for the mix of my riding style and weight. With the Tough Cat going away, this is back to being one of the stiffest boards in Burtons line up (right behind the Custom X and Family Tree Gate Keeper).
