I have no idea how to use this tool can someone explain it to me
Put the file in side the handle, then put it along your edge. The flat metal piece of that extends out, runs along the base of your board.

This file guide is heavy so that it is easy to keep it level. It slides evenly along the base. It is easy to grip. It's a great tool. Yeah, it's a little hard to figure out how to put the file in at first, but once you figure it out you'll be very happy.
Do not bother buying those cheap plastic edge tuners. It is physically impossible to keep them level along your entire edge, meaning that you will wind up with a bevel that varies along the legnth of your board.
This tool cannot be used to tune your base edge. The reviewer who said it could is wrong. He also said the kit includes a gummy stone, but that ain't true.

Nice file guide for tuning up your edges. Well built, nice range of edge bevel angles, quality file and a ceramic stone to boot. Side edge bevel only as far as I can tell.
