Family Tree Pile Driver Snowboard

Influenced by Burton's earliest boards, such as the original Backhill, the Burton Family Tree Pile Driver Snowboard is a pint-sized pow surfer designed to be ridden with or without bindings. Its Filet-O-Flex core profiling thins out the board's profile, making for an extremely light and lively deck. To compensate for the reduced thickness, Burton added traction pads that act as a subtle suspension, absorbing small bumps and chop without reducing board feel. Plus, these traction pads allow you to ride without bindings, making the Pile Driver a highly capable pow surfer or no-board.

Sized at a miniscule 140-centimeters, the Pile Driver is much smaller than what you'd regularly ride through deep snow, yet it manages to float astonishingly well, thanks to its retro swallowtail shape with a sidecut that extends back to the tail for extra stability. Designed with Burton's S-Rocker, the Pile Driver keeps its nose afloat through deep, untracked snow, thanks to a large rockered nose that blends into camber as you transition to the board's tail. Standing on the cambered section causes the rockered nose to lift above the snow, planing more efficiently when you're riding through the deep stuff. And because the Pile Driver is so small, you'll immediately notice its extremely tight turning radius (4.1-meters), which makes for quick, surfy turns through dense trees and tight terrain.
