Details

A cold lift ride can be just as cozy as the lodge fireplace.

Your memories of those frigid days on the mountain should be goods ones, not memories of how cold you felt. The Burton Women's Expedition Pants are designed and built to give you ultimate warmth on those days out on the hill when the temperature is way down there. Made of Burton's DryRide Ultrawick Expedition 300 fabric, these pants provide excellent insulation against the cold. Additionally, the fabric is moisture-wicking, meaning that as your body heats up from shredding for hours on end, moisture is pulled away from your skin. An antimicrobial treatment means that you won't be the smelly kid at the après board get-together.

I LOVE The Texture

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

These are the most comfortable cozy pants. I love the way they fit by themselves or under my pants! They keep me nice and warm and don't rub at all!

Warm & Comfy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I purchased these as a warmer base layer since I already own the mid weight. They are so soft and comfortable. I've even worn them as winter leggings. They're that warm. Runs TTS.

great bottoms, i'm too staticky

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: small and medium

Wanted to love these - not just the color, but the design/cut/fit was perfect. The small fit me pretty well, these seem to run a bit large. The only issue for me is that I'm a static electricity target and these pants were stuck on my legs and I was getting shocked and my hair is already staticky so it just got worse. Suck. These are really great pants, and I can see that they would be actually quite warm. So, I would recommend based on your own level static :)

velvety soft amazingness

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

I had never tried out this "DryRide Ultrawick Expedition 300" material before and I must say I was not expecting it to feel the way it does. These things feel like velvet! But they don't really look like it. They just look like regular black leggings, so I am going to wear them everywhere.. not just as a base layer. Most likely.

As a base layer, they do exactly what the description says. Keeps moisture off your lower half while you're shreddin' away. Fit true to size. Very comfortable. I like these better than typical thermals or long underwear I have bought in the past.

I have a thin base layer that I love, but usually wears another mid layer between my snow pants. Would this item work as a thermal pant that could be worn over my thin omniheat base layer leggings?

Hi Anna, I think that you might be just fine with just these as the base layer without your other base layer (omniheat). They are like a brushed fleece material. I think they would be quite warm for your snow activities. I agree with the Vendor Rep, that you could go a size up and then wear your Omniheat pants underneath and be good to go. Hope this helps :)
