Kick him out of pants purgatory.
Get him booted out of pants limbo by hooking him up with the Burton Exile Boys' Insulated Cargo Pant. Rocking fully loaded tech but designed to fit smaller riders, the Exile's DryRide Durashell two-layer membrane gives the Exile the highest waterproof rating in Burton's line of boy's snow pants, and packs 60g Thermacore insulation throughout to keep him warm on cold, snowy days. Thigh zips regulate heat on warmer days, while boot gaiters stop snow and cold from creeping in and plenty of pockets can stash snacks and smaller gear. Throw in an adjustable waist and a Room-To-Grow extendable leg system and Exile's good to go from November to May.

- Q & A
Is the exterior material the nylon? I have a sound sensitive boy who doesn't like nylon on the outside where it rubs and makes 'that noise.' Some of the pictures look like the exterior is not nylon, so these might work for him.
Jo, these are nylon. The waterproof membrane may help dull the sound, though. Also look at the Spyder Action Pant or the Burton Parkway, as they don't have any nylon. Let me know if aren't happy with the pant you choose, or if you have any other questions.
