When you're riding in steep, sketchy terrain and no-fall zones, you need your board to precisely follow your every command in an instant. That's why the thin, minimalist highback is infused with carbon fiber to keep it stiff and supportive, and carbon fiber in the single-component baseplate reduces weight while creating lightning-fast response and a precise ride. This season Burton added a unique translucent polycarbonate construction to give it an eye-catching look

The Hammockstrap ankle strap is cored-out to keep it lightweight, and it has a nylon strip running down the center that gives you a direct connection to your board at all times. New this year is Flex Slider tech, which keeps the strap out of the way when you're strapping in so you can get your boot in and out more easily. An over-the-toe design allows the Gettagrip Capstrap to lock down your boot securely without creating pressure points. Double Take buckles have teeth on both sides to make clicking in faster and smoother, not to mention more secure. Finally, it has a FullBED footbed with minimal EVA cushioning to absorb shock from harsh landings and uneven terrain without compromising board feel.
