The Burton Day Hiker Pack holds just enough gear for in-bounds snowboarding with a few yo-yo laps thrown into the mix. A shovel pocket keeps your avalanche gear accessible when you hike outside controlled terrain, and Burton’s vertical-carry system holds your board while you posthole to the goods. Or course, it’s key to keep up your motivation, so this pack also includes a fleece-lined sound pocket to hold your MP3 player at the ready. **DISCONTINUED**

I bought this pack for sidecountry/resort riding, and it's good enough for the job I give it. I don't require any real avalanche safety in my pack, but I keep spare gloves, goggles, a beanie, some food, a board lock, and an insulated hydration bladder in it. It's held up just fine. It's big and sturdy enough to hold your board for a hike, but small enough to sit on the lift comfortably.
CONS: Mine didn't come with a fleece-lined pocket... bummer. Also, the material isn't the strongest, so I keep it light when packing supplies.
OVERALL: Good enough for occasional side/backcountry, great for resort.
