Details

Around for over twenty seasons for a reason.

Whether you're sending sixty-foot jumps in the park, laying down high-speed carves, or pointing it down sketchy steeps, the Burton Custom Wide Snowboard delivers the pop, response, and stability you need to ride fast and go huge. A classic for over twenty years, the Custom Wide is still the board of choice for Burton's hardest-charging riders. This wide version supports bigger riders and prevents toe drag for those with bigger boots.

A lot has changed over the years for the Custom, but the one constant is a poppy, powerful camber profile. Camber offers precision, response, and stability that other profiles simply can't touch, making it a great choice for riders who slay superpipes and launch the biggest jumps in the park on their warm-up runs. A slightly set-back stance adds control and float without compromising switch riding. 45° Carbon Highlights use a tip-to-tail layer of carbon to drastically reduce weight while creating an aggressive, responsive feel, so you can point it with confidence.

The Superfly II core uses lightweight woods that specifically target strategic areas to drop weight and increase pop, and Dualzone EGD adds edge control by placing perpendicular strips of wood along the edges. Squeezebox profiling makes the core thinner where you want flex and thicker where you need strength. Frostbite edges extend out from under the bindings to create extra contact points so you can hold an edge on icy halfpipe walls and sketchy steeps. Infinite Ride construction means this board feels broken-in from day one, and it's finished off with an absorbent Sintered WFO base to resist damage and keep you flying down the mountain.

Burton's Do-All Board

Custom:
This is my pick for a deck for the rider that is interested in having one board to do it all. It'll lack in a few areas (when comparing against a pure pow board) but across the board it's pretty solid.

The traditional camber profile is one of the things about this board that I love a ton since it matches what I grew up riding. No funny made up awkward variable profiles. Just the camber you need to have a good time all over the mountain.

For a medium flex do-it all type boards, I think you'd be hard pressed to find one that offers a better ride. Plus the channel system offers a ton more mounting options than traditional 4x4 or 2x4 inserts.
