Mads Jonsson, Heikki Sorsa, Mason Aguirre, and Luke Mitrani worked with Burton to bring you the new Custom Snowboard. This year's model features Pro-Tip construction for reduced swing weight and great handling in the powder, a sintered WFO base for speed, and a lengthened tail for improved switch riding. This legendary freestyle snowboard's Dualzone EGD construction alternates the orientation of its Super Fly II core's wood grains for incredible edge hold and a precise flex. Its Carbon I-Beam fiberglass gives the Custom Snowboard powerful pop while 10:45 sidewalls provide bomber edge strength to meet the demands of aggressive riders. NOTE: You may get a different colored board than the one you see here. We can't control it. But we're sure you'll be stoked. *Available for US Shipment Only.

Bottom Line: With the new Custom Snowboard, Burton took it up a notch to make a freestyle legend even better.

Best All mountain/freestyle board period

By:
December 31, 2008

Best All mountain/freestyle board period. Though I have not ridden the Travis Rice snowboard and have big feet so I need a wide board. This board is phenomenal. It literally kicks butt everywhere. In the park you get as close to centered up as you can and go kill the park like the best of them, set the stance back and ride pow like it was meant for it. This baby has some absolutely amazing pop. If you are getting 3 feet of air off a flat cliff drop while riding 2 feet of pow, it pops.

Great board, matte finish blows

By:
December 23, 2008

This board is great. It's forgiving on landings, and it holds and edge in icy Vermont conditions. What's with the matte finish on the tips? From the first day, this board has taken some abuse. I just wish the cosmetic scratches and smudges weren't so damn obvious.

In general, you'll get more speed with a longer board. However, you need to consider your ability as well in order to handle/control the longer size board.

Solid Ride; Definitely Recommended

By:
November 2, 2007

I have an older Burton Custom ('99-'00) and still wouldn't consider getting a new one. I love it! The board has retained its stiffness and pop going on its ninth season and I have had no issues with delamination or with the base. It's helped me stomp it through the park, point it down over the corduroy and carve through the steep and deep.

No real complaints; just take proper care of your board as you would with others. Keep the base waxed and edges tuned.

An excellent all around board and definitely worth the cost! I would highly recommend the Burton Custom and would buy another when the time comes.

Depending on your weight, 151 is good up to about 160lbs. The Shorter the board, the easier it is to spin, the longer it is the easier to carve hard. Its mostly preference and flex is more important. Just stay in the suggested weight ranges =)

Awesome Board

By:
February 29, 2008

This is the best board period. You only need one board and this is it. Freeride, freestyle, ice, powder - this guy can do it all. I tried every flagship model of every brand and there is no contest. Custom is the best board out there. But don't take my word for it, this is the choice of most professionals!

I love a great all around board and this fits the bill. soft enough to get you over the rough stuff smoothly but stiff enough to carve like a dream.

A great park board that can work on the rest of the mountain too. Not so good in the powder, but it works wonders in the park.
