The Burton Custom ICS Snowboard features The Channel, a spine down the center of the board that evenly distributes energy and works with both standard (Channel-compatible binding discs sold separately) and EST bindings. Mount bindings at any stance width or angle you’d like (we don’t recommend narrow and pigeon-toed, though). Then ride your mid-flex Custom down backcountry couloirs or in the park—whatever terrain you encounter, this board can handle it.

  • The Channel focuses power through a central spine that evenly radiates energy through the board for enhanced rebound and snap
  • Infinite Ride technology means that your board feels consistent from day one through day 201
  • New Lightning Bolts (fiberglass fingers) radiate out from The Channel to quickly send input from your feet to the edge for superb response
  • The Custom packs Burton’s new sintered N2O WFO base for a ridiculously fast ride
  • Super Fly II core features a negative core profile (thinner sections between the bindings) for softer flex and torsion that excels anywhere on the mountain
  • To reduce waste, Burton used some recycled metals and plastics to create this board
  • Board colors may vary, and we have no control over which one you’ll get. But you’ll love it anyway, right? Right

Bottom Line: Rip anywhere on the mountain.

I read that the large bindings won't work with a 156cm board.

I read that the large bindings won't work with a 156cm board. Is that really true?

No it is not true. Where ever you read that, it is false. Any size binding (Burton) will work on this board.

What are the differences between Custom ICS and Custom X?

Will you please explain and list the differences between the two, and the bindings that go well with each?

I consider myself an intermediate, I can carve down blue and black with ease, and sometimes double diamond black trails. I do some moguls. I will like to learn to do jumps, cliffs, pipe and parks.

Sick board...

I've been riding a custom since 04 and I doubt I'll get anything else. I ride all-mountain, backcountry and park and this board does it all. Incredibly responsive with lots of pop - even after 5 years of solid abuse, this thing still shreds. My only complaint is a bit of rust on the edges, but it cleans up when tuned. To avoid this, get the custom X with the stainless edges.

Very good for intermediate, if you are good on your edges. This board is FAST and cuts on a dime. If you're used to a metal core with crap edges, this will take a day or two of getting used to, but you'll never go back.

Yes! The Burton Custom is great for any intermediate to advancing all-mountain rider. It has a medium flex which is perfect for ripping down groomers and moon-gravity pop that just won't stop.
