Cloak and dagger meets Snowbird, Utah in the Burton Women’s Cherish Jacket. This trenchcoat-esque waterproof Burton coat hangs a little low and offers ample room for spinning your way through the air. Thermacore insulation keeps you warm as you spy foreign operatives poaching the treelines, and zippered cuff gussets and a waist gaiter block snow from penetrating your perimeter as you give chase. A satin lining on the inside glides over your underlayers and mesh-lined Underarm zips allow heat to escape. - Fall 2008.

Bottom Line: Cherish the warmth.

Great coat.......

I love the coat except the one thing, it is white. I wanted white but after a couple of days the sleeves are dingy. I didn't think that it would get dirty so fast. I don't even ski or board and you would think it would stay cleaner longer. This coat is true to the size, so don't order any larger for layering. It will swallow you up.

Its waterproof and breathable... and made by Burton, so those are three things that are helpful for snowboarding :) But its not the highest of either, so its not as intense as so jackets on the market. Additionally, if you look at the specs there is a powderskirt, which helps to keep snow out of the knickers. Unless you are prone to rolling around on the ground or board in an incredibly wet locale, this will do decently for boarding!

Don't hesitate to purchase

I really wasn't sure what to expect when I got this jacket (I bought the white). I took it out of the bag and it was SO super soft. I loved it right away. Once I put it on, I loved it even more. I am a true size medium and this jacket fit perfect - and leaves a little room for layers. I am 5'10" and the sleeves are perfect for me if not long. For me, this is not a big deal as it's hard to find a coat with long enough sleeves sometimes. I can see how it would be a bit snug around the hips/butt for some, but it fit well on me (size 8). The only thing I wish this jacket had was a way to tighten it a bit around the waist, but I am not complaining.

No, I would probably say stick to a small... unless you are on the larger side of small. It does have 60 grams of insulation so you shouldn't have to layer too too much underneath.

Maybe a bonded fleece and some thermals and you should stay toasty warm!

That is of course unless you live in an igloo... do you live in an igloo?

A little disappointed

This jacket is cute (I bought the chocolate cord) but is snug around the hips and butt and the arm length is long. I am 5'3 and usually wear mediums but it looks like I have to get a large instead. I am definitely returning it.

Not on its own, it's very lightly insulated. You'll have to layer a lot.
