The Cartel Snowboard Binding is preferred over all others for countless pros, whether they ride for Burton or not. The responsive highback, light weight, and mega-plush straps add up to a versatile ride that's won over fans across the globe. Park jumps, pillow drops, or parking-lot handrails, the Cartel handles it all and begs for more.
Tool-free adjustable Canted Living Hinge highbacks mirror your natural stance for better heelside power transfer
FullBed baseplate padding and B3 Gel heel cushioning absorb impacts from flat landings or choppy snow
Gettagrip Capstrap features sticky rubber to lock down your boot with less pressure
Padded, responsive, cushy, reliable. Hard to beat Burton bindings. You can adjust them many different ways so they will be even more responsive than they are right out of the box. Easy to adjust the strap length with out tools, the high back can be easily aligned with your back edge. There is cushioning under foot and the straps are nice and soft too. Burton buckles can't be beat for reliability.
After a month or so of riding these, they are too damn soft. Fucking limp and not very responsive. Not great if you are an agressive free rider looking for a binding that will respond quickly.
I'm new to snowboarding and they are the only set of bindings I've used.
There are many different adjustments to dial in the fit. Easy to mount and hold your foot to the board well.
I have these mounted to a Head I. CT KERS board and use Salomon Malumute Boots. Everything seems to work well together.
Please take this with a grain of salt because I've only been snowboarding a handful of times. What I can tell you is that none of the equipment has caused any problems.

Theres a reason more pros and shop kids choose the Cartel. Simply put, its got everything you could ask for! Light-weight, crazy durable strength, and unbelievable comfort in a shred-everything package.
The time-tested feel and power of the anatomically accurate baseplate, that has a lifetime warranty, and hi-back is unmatched in the industry. FullBED cushioning smoothes out shocking landings, while the NEW Gettagrip Capstrap results in instantaneous edge-control and all-day comfort that never slips!
The short-glass nylon composite tray makes it a medium flexing tray... after adding that hi-back you can get all day long performance and comfort!
You even help support conservation of material as re-ground materials are used in both the baseplate and hi-back to reduce waste.
The binding performs with hella-quick response!
One of my favorite features on the cartel is the full-bed cushioning system as it just takes out some of the ebs and jives of riding all day long... helps absorb some additional impact, ya know?
I love the cartels. They are a strong and sturdy binding. It gives the rider great control over. I really don't have any complaints about these bindings. The gel heel does make a difference when it comes to comfort. As well as the canted highbacks. One great feature that isn't mentioned is that the toe strap and the main straps are tool-free as well. The hardware is easy and smooth to operate. I have no issues tightening them up or taking them off with mittens even on the move.
Great feel, I had ordered the wrong size and backcountry just shipped me a new pair it was easy. Also, you can feel the difference in comfort and the new cap strap is very secure. The only thing which is buttons fault is the new pad that is on the bottom is a little confusing.. It pulls up from the back with little clips to get to the plate to mount them. But other than that super happy with them. Use backcountry for sure most satisfied I have ever been with a supplier.
I tested these for a day and was not impressed. They did have very good board feel and were very easy to adjust. The problem with them was that they kept coming loose and would move around on the board, which was super sketchy. I ended up having to tighten them down after almost every run. Not sure if there was something wrong with these particular ones, but they were no bueno.
I don't ask much from my bindings just that they work. These do much better than expected they have features I never knew I needed. The padding on the footbed serves as a great cushion but also make the base much easier to clear of snow for the days when the snow is a little more sticky. The high backs are super solid and come all the way up to the top of my boot which I love, and the toe caps are a huge improvement from my last binding which had the first generation toe caps that were always slipping on me the new ones are a real tacky rubber that hold in place.

If you are going to buy anything by burton by these bindings. They are super responsive, light, durable, and very comfortable. The pads on the base plate dampen the ride so you your ride is as smooth as possible The straps slide right on and off even if your feet are buried in snow just reach-down and they come right off,so you dont get stuck. They also always look way sic.
Most of the Sith lords of this era seem to all wear the rock the same binding- these!
Not to be outdone by recent competitors like Union Force's, K2 Formula's or say Ride Delta's, The Cartel has gone under the knife for 2011 and received an extreme makeover. New highback, still just as tall only lighter and more ergonomic, cap strap and ankle straps. This binding applies mucho passionate and furious power to turns and help you pop even if your board is shot. B3- un-freezable gel prevents heel bruises in sub-zero temps. I've rocked Cartels since days of underoo's. I've tried to keep an open mind to becoming complacent in one product but it always keeps me coming back. superlight - 1 binding weighed 1.95 lbs w/ disc on a digital scale. And they look good too, which is the whole point of everything right?
Pay attention to the overlap in the size chart- I'm in a 10 boot and wear the mediums. Medium fits up to size 11 boot without any pinching or overlap. The Larges are for bigger sized 11's or 11.5's to 12's and on up. These things are super strong and have tons of adjustability. If you only hit mini features all day, maybe get some Missions or Custom's, these things send.
