I bought a new SBX board and as this is a very expensive board I have to do as much as I can to keep it in mint conditions so that it performs in every race. This sleeve is the way to go... I always put my race board in the sleeve and then in my rollerbag.

I recommend this to any SBX racers, or anyone who really cares about their board.

Great accessory, especially if you don't use a padded board bag or you want an extra layer of protection. Toss your board in the car with no worries about scratching or cutting your seats.

I ordered the board sleeve to protect my BoarderX board. The board has a sintered base that's as soft as butter, meaning a fingernail will leave its mark. This sleeve not only allows me to protect the base (and my investment) but it also protects my car, wheeling board bag and just about everything else.

Not having to remove my bindings to protect the base is another bonus. A definite must have!

I bought the Burton Gig bag (166cm) to lug my snowboard around on anything from the local ski trips here in NYC to trips out west. Bus, train or plane, I wanted a way to protect my board.

However, after receiving the Gig bag and test-fitting my 158 wide board, I felt like I needed something extra to truly protect the board's edges. I had visions of bag handlers tossing my bag around and damaging the edges, which seemed quite vulnerable through the tough, but skimpily-padded material of the Gig bag.

So, I decided to get the Burton board sleeve to complement the Gig bag. Bought the Majestic Black Plaid which is sweet in person. Sleeve is a soft, cushy neoprene which covers all the edges perfectly and, at 160cm, fits within the Gig bag with ease.

So, not only do I have extra padding for my board, but I also have a 2-stage travel arsenal for carrying my board around. Take just the sleeve for short jaunts in the car, or the bag + sleeve for plane or travel-intensive trips.

As for details on the sleeve...excellent construction with heavy stitching throughout. The tips at each end have heavy duty rubber caps to protect the tip of the board when standing it up. Three straps secure the sleeve around the board. The sleeve also has back-pack-like straps that tuck into a low-profile pocket when not in use.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased this sleeve because it has backpack straps. The straps are not that comfortable but it's tolerable. It totally beats lugging the snowboard with my puny arms around the city to meet up with my ride or go on one of the buses for a day trip.
