All-terrain slashing specialist.

True to its name, the Burton Barracuda is a ravenous creature, covering every square inch of the mountain hunting for undisturbed pow stashes. It's packed with all the tech you could ask for, from Burton's channel system for easy binding setup, to frost bite edges for crazy grip and locked-in turns. And the directional tapered shape means tons of float on the deep days, and added stability for smashing through crud when the hill's getting tracked out.

The Barracuda is built on Burton's Fish-inspired S Rocker shape, which puts camber under your feet for powerful turns, and mates it with a rockered nose for effortless float when it's dumping. And that float gets kicked up a notch by the tapered shape. Basically, the nose is 15 mm wider than the tail, and that means no more back-leg burn, so you can ride longer and harder. The Frostbite edges bump out underneath your feet, to help you carve trenches when you get it on edge. You'll find that it's helpful when traversing across groomers and ice on your way to your favorite hidden stashes.

Like much of Burton's lineup, the Barracuda features Nug Raduction, and that means you can size it down from what you'd normally ride. Burton recommends dropping 2-3 cm off the overall length, which nets you more responsive handling without giving up stability. The Pro-Tip tip and tail reduce swing weight, which ups the responsiveness even further. This board is built to haul ass, so it's only appropriate that it gets a sintered WFO base, which holds tons of wax and slides super fast. Top it off with Burton's Infinite Ride, and you've got a board that feels broken-in, straight out of the box, and stays that way for the life of the board.
