Great for backcountry shredding and riding in varying temperatures, the Burton Men's Approach Mitten features a waterproof shell and a removable fleece liner. Slide your fingers into the Approach Mitt's pre-curved design and cinch the short gauntlet down to keep out the snow. When you get toasty hiking for your lines, pull out the fleece liner and then put it back in when you're ready to drop in. After a few face shots cake up on your goggles, use the Burton Approach Mitt's goggle wipe to clear your lens and then go back for more.

Bottom Line: Versatile, tough as balls, and made by Burton. What more could you ask?

Burton Mittens

I agree that these are not very warm mittens. I didn't think I'd like the glove like liners, but they are very cozy and soft. But this is a warm weather or spring condition mitten.

These are great. I got them for my son who always gets very cold fingers when skiing or boarding. We are in Beaver Creek, CO right now and he loves them. They also look great with his Burton Jacket.

Very roomy (XL), but...

These are nice mitts. I like how roomy they are even with the liners on, but this also means that they aren't as warm as I would have liked. I sent them back and got the Gore-Tex mitts instead which seem to be a lot warmer. The liners for these mitts are pretty toasty though they look very cheap since the seams are huge, though they're on the outside of the liners so you don't feel them. The mitt without any liners would not be sufficient to keep your hands warm.
The over build quality is very nice and they seem like they'll hold up pretty well. But as mentioned, even with the liners my hands got noticeably cold at around 20 degrees.
