Description

No friends on a pow day.

When you're ready to break up with the crowds and lift lines, grab the Burton Women's Family Tree Anti-Social Splitboard and hook up with fresh turns daily. It has a floaty feel and a lightweight feel, and it's been upgraded this season with a Split Channel mounting system for hassle-free mounting and almost infinite adjustability.

Splitboards have traditionally used drilled inserts to mount the binding pucks. Because these inserts offer a finite range of angles, getting the pucks lined up exactly has always been a hassle. Because the channel offers an infinite range of angles, however, getting the pucks lined up is a snap. This also makes it possible to get your stance exactly right, since you aren't stuck using a preset angle. Also, because it's so easy, you'll be more inclined to get it exactly right, rather than just getting it close and leaving it, which used to be the norm.

The Anti-Social is built on Burton's S Rocker profile, which combines traditional camber from the tail to the front binding with a rockered nose. The long, floaty nose keeps you effortlessly on top of deep powder, while the camber ensures powerful turns and tons of grip when you're skinning up to the top. The 12mm of taper means the nose is wider than the tail to keep you afloat in the deep stuff and .

The Pro Tip construction keeps the weight of the nose and tail down, which makes it easier to throw the Anti-Social around, and makes the climb easier too. The lightweight and lively Super Fly II core is made with sustainably-harvested wood and the topsheet is made with recycled PET so you can ride with a clearer conscience knowing the construction of this board wasn't too hard on the environment. Infinite Ride construction ensures this board rides the same from day 1 to 100, and the sintered base is impact-resistant and keeps you moving fast.

Here's what others have to say...

will the Karakoram split 30 binding work with the burton split channel mounting system?

Responded on

Okay, I guess I have to answer my own question. I went ahead and bought this board - the goal was to use a set of Karakoram split 30 bindings I already own, with this board.
Answer: The Karakoram bindings will not work with the Burton channel mounting system as it comes from the factory.
However - this is not recommended by Burton or Karakoram - you can grind off the mounting nuts that stick above the board surface, so that they are slightly below flush. Then you can mount the Karakoram bindings. You have to make sure the Karakoram mounting screws are not too long so that don't hit the bottom of the channel in the board.
As my wife is riding this board, and her weight is in the 115 range, and she is not aggressive. I do not for see that there will be any problems.

My girlfriend rides a 146 burton snowboard, so this 150 is perfect for venturing into the touring world.
