I bought the Burton AK Vario Fleece Jacket to go underneath the Burton AK Static Shell. So far, in the temperatures that I have tried it (up to minus 20 celcius or so) it has been plenty warm. I have not experimented yet spending oodles of time outside at one time, so I'll have to go for a long walk one of these days! I like the fuzziness. I chose size small and it fits nicely (I'm 5'4", slight build). There is room to put layers underneath, but I like how it looks by itself also (still tailored look).

I bought the Vario fleece to go with my Burton AK Rotor Jacket (which I love). The texture of this fleece is a bit shaggier than it appears in the photo. Not quite the look I was after, though it seems to be popular this year. I prefer to pay a bit more for the Arc'teryx covert cardigan. This item doesn't seem worth the price (even on sale at $105). But hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The cyan (turquoise blue) color is gorgeous.

Love this jacket. Super warm, super fuzzy and low bulk. Works like a charm under my hard shell. Can't wait to get another in next years colors Sleeves are nice and long and jacket comes over the top of snowboard pants and stays put to keep your back toasty warm when buckling in. Great price!
