Get into Burton's AK 2L Vent Pant for bomber weather protection. Out-of-bounds proven, waterproof breathable Gore-Tex combines with a streamlined design to bring you a burly, yet lightweight pant that will keep you dry. Fully taped seams ensure these pants are watertight, while the Crossflow Venting system circulates air through the zippered, mesh-lined hip-to-knee and back-of-leg vents. With all this technology, you'd think the AK Vent Pants are all function and no form. Not so. Burton made these pants available in several unique colorways. Poor Quality

I've taught snowboarding for over six years. I haven't been able to find a pant that moves well with snowboarders other than burton pants however... the first week I owned these pants the crotch ripped open (while I was teaching a lesson). After 3 weeks of horrible customer service from the VT Burton flagship company, they finally returned them to me. A few weeks later the pocket where I kept my Burton snowboard tool got a large thin spot and hole in it from wear, the bottom leg zippers started pulling away from the fabric, and the knees rapidly began wearing away(there isn't enough fabric to be waterproof). Bad quality. Bad service. I used to be a big Burton fan....

Stuck In A Downpour

By:
January 23, 2007

If you really want to appreciate the quality of a Gore Tex garment put on these pants, go out for a hike in a driving rainstorm,(be sure to wear other appropriate gear), and get stuck in a 35 mile per hour wind that makes the rain fall sideways. No umbrellas do a very good job of keeping you dry in these kind of conditions; but the vent pant will not only keep you dry and warm, but will also actually feel comfortable in such conditions, and won't get so warm that it feels like it's too heavy, or makes you perspire intensely. Gore-Tex breathes, and sheds excess water. So even though you may never get to K-2, you'll appreciate having the kind of gear those who do, use.

Perfect fit, pockets and vent zips galore, ghetto slits for da fat boots, Gore-Tex to stay dry in the worst conditions, killer fabric....what else can you say but these are Burton AK's! So you know it's cream of the crop in the Burton line and backcountry tested by their best riders. Go out and get your own!

mt baker clam powder

By:

i was recently shredding baker and these new 2L burton vent pants did the trick, standing up to the furious snow showers and rain, allowing me to stay dry and comfortable. (mt baker= Gore-Tex mandatory by the way)

Tough and rough

Well I have to say that these pants are great. The security pocket is great because it is big enough to fit an assortment of things. The inside of the waist is lined with a nice soft material that is great against the skin. Great fit.
