I was looking for a lightweight but warm puffer that could be versatile enough for my variety of outdoors activities, and this one is absolutely perfect! I wanted something lightweight and warm that I could use for backpacking/snow-shoeing, but also as an extra layer when I'm snowboarding in negative temps. The pit zips are larger than any other jacket I've ever owned, and are easy to access zipping down AND up even with my thick gloves on. This jacket is so light, it hardly feels like I'm wearing an extra layer, and I don't feel it in my pack when it's stuffed away. The lightness of this jacket doesn't take away from it's all encompassing warmth, it's so cozy, I end up leaving off all my other layers and am cozy enough just in my base layer and this most of the time! Also. The colour. I am obsessed! It can be difficult to find colours that aren't just the neutrals/earth tones and the stark primary colours in a lot of outdoor wear so this was an amazing find for me! Lastly, I have to mention how impressed and amazed I am with Backcountry! I ordered this on a Friday, very tempted to get overnight shipping because of a snowshoeing backpacking trip I was going to leave for on the following Monday but decided against it since it was practically the weekend and there was just no possible way for it to arrive before I left. *Almost* decided to drive 20 miles to Eldora to snag one from a shop there with a huge markup but decided to hold off and resolved to enjoy it on my next excursion. Lo' and behold, it arrived very early on Sunday morning via standard shipping. Such a great experience shopping through Backcountry! Thank you!
